  1. Why are we pulling the oil pan to remove the flywheel?
  2. 39-47 trucks didn't get an access hole for the sending unit in until 47. My 46 doesn't have one but the 47 does
  3. There is a little slot in the bottom of the knob. A small screwdriver in there will release the clip from the switch. Then you can unscrew the bezel and the switch will drop out the back.

  10. It's been probably 20y since I messed with those on dad's 50 but I believe they were held in place by pins on the item and those little one way clips
  11. They still do and they have a second location now too
  12. Dad was a mechanic at a couple local Ford dealers in mid to late 70s. He told me one day he came out and there was a rolloff full of edsel parts. Brand new horse collar grills sitting in the dumpster etc

  14. Always a good time there but I sorta miss the old days when it wasn't so organized and you had to wander more.
  15. And if you want to spend a little more (or maybe a lot) have your originals sleeved. Few places that do it- brake and equipment warehouse is my go to because they happen to be local to me and do great work

  19. Sounds like you're shopping moparpro. He's having those drums made and they're $$$. But check your existing ones first. They're well made and quite possibly still good. I think I've heard of others getting gas tanks for about $300 off ebay
  20. Around here all the places that take oil also take the filters for recycling

  22. Saturday was Mopars at the red barn car show. There were almost 500 Mopars in attendance plus a swap meet and all the regular displays. One of the coolest things to me was this 64 Plymouth satellite
  23. Friday we did a military museum -didn't take many pics there is was more artifacts and smaller stuff vs vehicles. From there the lost railway museum. They had some smaller train cars called inter Urban's. Third stop was called ye old carriage shop. Lots of very unique cars made in Jackson MI. A few of them were the only one known. These two are the only ones known and he had both! Neat looking car with the cyclops headlight. He had the next model year which had conventional dual lights. And a pocket door car
  24. Thursday we went to the airzoo. Great collection of aircraft and NASA items. Only surviving piece of the USS Juneau which happened to land on the deck of another ship as it was sunk. This was recovered off the bottom of lake Michigan and restored Only one of these ever made
  25. That's my install thread. Crazy it's just shy of 10y ago!
