  1. Yup and the covered car to it's right is mine too. My normal storage was booked.
  2. Clean off that flat spot at the top of the center section and see if the ratio is there. If you happened upon some 3.73 or lower ratios you'll have some demand.
  3. About 2 weeks ago I was trying to get Dad's 55 Chrysler with 331 hemi running for storage. Found out I'd forgotten to disconnect the battery in the spring. Charged it a little and got it running only for it to die in the street while I was trying to turn it around. 12 jumped right from my minivan to the Chrysler and got it started back up. I don't believe it hurt anything! The dash lights were sure brighter for a min though. I got it turned around and left the charger on it overnight. Started on its own the next day so nothing too wounded.
  4. I think 37-39 bodies were the same. Emblems probably changed but the basic lid might interchange. You'd need Mopar parts books or a Hollander to know for sure
  5. You don't but typically the idea is to put it in OD and let the automatic be automatic.
  6. They were optional so if you never had a heater setup your truck probably never had them. I wonder if DCM or Roberts has reproductions? A quick Google shows Chevy trucks have similar looking pieces for about $20 new
  7. A couple summers ago I had about half gas half water in my 47. I bought a funnel on Amazon that filters the water out and let's the gas through. I did that and then added some heat just in case it missed a little
  8. There are pieces that attach behind the dash and transition to round duct hose that you can then connect to a heater.
  9. Original p15 ground was to a generator mount bolt. Later Plymouths moved it to a head bolt that was taped for a smaller bolt
  10. Clockwise for run counter for accessories. Did they put the switch in upsidedown? Key should go teeth up
  11. Looking at my Looking at my 40-47 dodge Fargo book it looks like the numbers are a different system. The 1940 is a DB 41s a DC and then 42-47 is a DD. So I believe a DG would be the next model run after a DF. These 41-47s don't have a -26 model but there is a -20 which is a one ton with a 120" wheelbase and then a -33 with 133" wheelbase.
  12. Lots of scrubbing with basic soap and a not got the major staining off. It still needs a good polish and wax though

  14. For my 47 with Dakota bench seat I was able to take the Dakota brackets and then them backwards. That fixed the angle problem but now my adjuster lever is on the pass side facing the rear cab wall!
  15. You probably wouldn't be the first guy to buy a 20' length and cut it in the parking lot.
  16. Dad had an international scout with a bad tank. He drove it all around with a boat tank in the bed. It had a homemade wood bed to I think that would have negated the static issue.
  17. Back years ago there was a guy on here that swapped more modern drum brakes onto his stock axle.
  18. We need to know what you currently have. The engine from the 39 will fit but as the others said you need a proper truck bell housing and transmission
  19. Take a look at the bottom of your seat brackets. Some of them have 2 sets of holes and you can move them back a little.

  21. There are a lot of 39-47 truck owners that would love to get their hands on their rear fenders!
  22. I'd bet when they started they had to pick something that was in the sweet spot of modern but old enough to be hitting the junkyards.
  23. Well I am very surprised most of it is coming off just with soap and a scrubby mit. Then I'll be doing a cleaner wax and calling it good
  24. Just bringing Dad's 66 wagon out from storage and at some point it got lead stains on the hood and roof. I'll give it a standard washing first of course but I'm quite sure that won't get it all off. So what's next? Clay bar? Polish? Buffing compound?
  25. Yes that's true. In a perfect world the bolts are good and can stay in place while the flywheel comes off to get fixed
