  1. Here's a link I found on the HAMB....might be helpful to you or someone else reading this thread: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/how-to-measure-your-car-for-proper-wheel-fitment.835576/
  2. I left the very bottom shortest leaf (approx 12" long), took out the next 2 shortest, left the 4 longest. As mentioned previously, added 1" blocks too. No scrub line issues, bottom of stock u-bolts well above the bottom of the rim. My shocks were fairly new prior to this work. If you have scrub line issues now, will they be worse with 15" wheels....essentially, the center of the axle/bottom of u-bolts doesn't change, but the bottom of the rim moves up 1/2" (going from 16" to 15"). Does that sound right?
  3. Forgot to mention, i pulled 2 leafs out. I agree, willing to sacrifice a little ride quality for looks. Good luck on the search.
  4. Bmartin, how much travel (clearance) in the rear do you have before the axle hits the bump stops, with the car on the ground? How is the scrub line.....anything below the rim? Reason I ask is, I have the same springs with 1" blocks (cut down from 3"). I haven't bottomed out & was thinking about going with 2" blocks. Like the way yours sits.
  5. Welcome from sunny, DRY, "we skipped spring & went straight to summer" So Cal. Sounds like a cool build, make sure you start a build thread.
  6. Heat shrink will help lessen the strain at the connector.
  7. Stating to use the search function, I believe.
  8. I think you can edit your post by erasing /deleting whatever parts you want to go away. If you want the whole post deleted, delete it all, but I think you have to add a few "........" for it to complete the edit. It will still appear as a "quote", if someone has quoted it before you edit/delete.
  9. It's the nature of the beast. With the internet, you're going to get all kinds....no matter what forum you're on. Brush it off & move on. Jokes, "snarky" remarks, helpful advice, you name it...."lighten up, Francis". Too soon?
  10. Misunderstood your first post. I had thought you already had it from you previous threads. Kidding about the name change.....probably too many "Chrysler John's" out there anyway.
  11. Looks seamless in the picture. What did you use to seal the "joint"?
  12. Another one? You're definitely going to have to change your name. X2 on the pics.
  13. Looks great, nice stance & sitting on the grass makes it look a bit lower.
  14. I didn't personally type it (copy & pasted), but it is mentioned in the specs in post #19.
  15. Here are the specs for the LH bolt: Head Type : 3/4" Hex Metric or SAE Thread Type : SAE Overall Length : 1-1/2" Right/Left/Both Side : Left Serrated : No Single or Double Sided Stud : Single Stud Type : Hex Head Wheel Stud Application : Dodge / Disc Wheels Wheel Stud Body Diameter : .500" Wheel Stud Material Grade : 8 Wheel Stud Thread Length : 7/8" Wheel Stud Thread Size : 1/2"-20 Wheel Type : Steel Brand Name : HDPlus 1/2"-20 is what you want. In the links Tod provided, the one difference I noticed between the RH & LH bolts is the RH have 1" of threads, the LH have 7/8" of threads. What is the thread length on your original bolts, if you have 1 to measure or will this be ok? Got your PM also.
  16. I just called my local (Los Angeles, Calif. area) Napa, they don't have them in stock. He checked his computer & the closest store that has them in stock is Denver, Colorado. He can have them shipped to his store. If you're interested, I'd be happy to get them & ship them to you for only actual costs involved. Best shipping may be a USPS flat rate small box. PM if interested. Derek
  17. Before you do, read the tech article found here:http://p15-d24.com/page/p15d24/tech/brakes.html There is a picture of the "correct" tool to pull the drum/hub from the axle.
  18. Nobody is asking for a sugar coating, just more info in the questions asked sometimes. There more info in the question, the more detailed the response (hopefully). Don't "assume" the person seeking help knows everything. Some on here know little to nothing about these cars/trucks, we're here to help, not discourage.
  19. I think he already used his "puller".....this is the opening of his post: Hi Folks: Just having removed my own drums from a '50 B2B for the first time...I wanted to add my experience to help any others trying this.
  20. Check out this thread....exact question you're asking regarding a 318/360 swap: http://p15-d24.com/topic/38331-52-pilothouse-v8-inquiry/
  21. I've also had a good experience with Tom.
  22. Re-post in the classifieds. This thread will be locked soon.
  23. Stay on the forum for a while & you will see a pattern. Good luck with your truck, at 17, you know more about these trucks than most did at that age.
  24. Not surprised, happens all the time.....either "pay what I want" or "I'll get to it one day".....typical.
