  1. Still worth looking into if the price is not out of the world.. My left rear has been marginal for years.
  2. This stuff really works to prevent rust. i have had to repair lines on several cars over the years and have always found good metal under the armor
  3. Enjoyed reading this: https://onemanandhismustang.com/2018/05/03/the-classic-car-code/

  4. As your collection expands I would definitely get at least one Air Drill. With good bits and a strong compressor they will really cut a hole. Air Chisel is another good buy but be sure to get well made bits as cheap ones will just dull rather quickly. Air ratchets not so much in my opinion as they seem to have little torque but are good for spinning on free nuts. I have two, a 3/8 and a 1/2 inch and hardly ever use them
  5. My 52 had the rotor at 5 o'clock when i got it years ago at No. 1 TDC. Car ran fine but for consistency I moved it to the correct placement.
  6. I have seen that ad before. I do know that the attitude of people for pets was different then.Although it does remind me of the Mitt Romney story about the roof carrier.
  7. Here are the pics(hopefully, maybe):
  8. I took pics but will have to wait for my wife to get home to put them on my computer. First i did crawl under the dash and look at my 52's defrost motor and it looks a lot like this one that i have extra. Still maybe they are the same. The motor works and is complete with cage and housing. Numbers on the motor are-1383847 and E 67. The housing is about 5.5 by 5 inches and the motor is about 2.75 in diameter by 3 inches in height. Let me know if that is close or helpful
  9. That looks like the housing my motor has. I will make a point to look tomorrow afternoon and see.
  10. Soon as I get a moment.
  11. I actually might have one. I got a box of misc parts some years ago and I believer there is a motor in it. Can you supply a number and/or picture of what you want. I will then look. If it is what you want I will give it to you for the price of shipping.
  12. As recently as 1971 I bought a Honda Motorcycle that was a 1970 model and titled as a 71. Got $100 back in a class action suit about 3 years later.
  13. Make sure that the wheel cylinder pins are correct and all the same. Lenghts vary from car to car.
  14. I hope so, been in the doldrums forever.
  15. Congrats I used to stumble over bargains once in a while there but have almost given up. Nice to see that then end is not here
  16. Sorry to hear about the wreck. I know that regarding your remark about not seeing you, it seems that every time our School bus company has an accident the first thing out of the other drivers mouth is"I didn't see it" How the bleep do you not see a 40 foot yellow bus. Bet they saw the phone in their hand though.
  17. I alternate in the summer between my 52 Cranbrook and my 1980 Volare depending on where I am going and what I am doing when I get there. My 2001 Astro gets the summer off unless the weather is really crappy. I try to do any maintenance on the Astro and other family cars while I have the extras to drive. I take summers off so I usually am working on something.
  18. Although not the same at all, my son lives near Boston and they are getting killed by snow. Three big storms this week alone. Supposed to be about 2 feet when this latest one is done. Weather is just nuts. Glad to hear you are all OK.
  19. i used something like this on my 2001 Astro: https://www.ebay.com/i/152879906941?chn=ps
  20. i was being facetious
  21. ?
  22. Obviously the band prices were from when you bought the truck new.
  23. Perhaps to be shipped by boat?
  24. Welcome to the Forum As an owner of a 52 4 door I really appreciate yours.
