  1. I painted mine Gloss black with POR 15 and have never had a problem. Looks good to me(the only critic I follow)
  2. One of our dogs likes celery and lettuce. Not quite as adamate about it though
  3. Probably saving up for a convention of County Clerks in Hawaii
  4. Yes, but probably doomed each one I voted for to defeat. Works on TV shows as well. If I like iti gone.
  5. Sigh....So sorry he is gone.
  6. I am looking at the trunk lock assembly. I don't believe I have ever seen one quite like it. Is it an aftermarket with the large box on the lid with the handle attached to it? and for what purpose?
  7. I bought one from Danchuk for a 57 Chevy that was brand new for $80.00 or so and it only needed a little engineering to work well
  8. Although I never met or spoke to him I really enjoyed his posts here and on the POC site. He showed us all how much enjoyment could be got from an Old Plymouth without breaking the bank. He will certainly be missed by everyone.
  9. I agree that unless you are married to a Ford or Chevy engine that the Mopar makes more sense in addition to keeping with the history of Chrysler cars.. Reliable and good parts availability as well. Rear end is up to you of course. Many have fitted modern rear axles for better cruising as well as 4 or 5 speed manual trans. Adapters for automatics are available also.. Higher speeds suggests a brake up grade also.
  10. I used a puller as well. Then froze the new one and used a socket to drive it in after spraying a little oil into the flywheel hole. Hardest part was removal as expected.
  11. Might contact these folks for options as well: http://www.wilcap.com/webdoc8.html
  12. Order a cap for your distributor number. Two different sized of caps are available. If you get the wrong one the spark cannot jump the gap inside the cap to the plugs. To great a distance.

  14. Those shows are fine if all you are interested in is something based on a small block chevy and something with a lot of aftermarket repo parts available. Try asking for a 48 DeSoto rebuild in a weekend
  15. Happy b-day you young wippersnapper!
  16. Expensivie is right; https://alsacorp.com/easy-chrome/#pricing
  17. A man in the Plymouth I club used to belong to had one in his 1956 Belevidere Seemed to work well although he only had a few records for it.
  18. You might also ask here: http://forums.aaca.org/ Lot of knowledge there as well and a lot of members really up on prewar cars.
  19. I used chrome paint for my two front bumper guards. You can tell easily but at 50 MPH no one can and most don't care.
  20. So you are the one who is hogging all the rain in Australia
  21. Bought mine from Rock Auto. Seem to work fine.
  22. We bought one new in 1983. Loved the car but problems with damage to the under carriage from new and lack of interest in fixing the problem with Chrysler forced us to trade it off in less that a year.
  23. Accelerator pump(s) either not working or set wrong? Is it worse when the engine is hot or cold? Sounds like a lean mixture issue or if you get clouds of black smoke on acceleration the opposite is possible. Too much fuel to fast.
  24. I put this in my 52 Plymouth and although the leaking did not stop it did get quite a bit less. https://www.amazon.com/ATP-AT-205-Re-Seal-Stops-Bottle/dp/B000NVW1LM
  25. Usually not a big fan of rods but yours is an interesting idea. I also am a fan of inline sixes and the AMC/Chrysler 258 one is a fav of mine.
