  1. In a former life I did gage calibration and tool repair. I used a tool similar to this to pull the hands off of dial calipers and gages.
  2. My brother has a 46 as well. When he restored it, he talked to the Plymouth Owners Club P-15 Tech Advisor at the time (lives here in Omaha). He stated that in 46, those reflectors were white for that year only. Might explain the lighter color you see on yours.
  3. Hey, what ever became of the coupe the tree fell on? Does the son-in-law still have it? I know you were chasing parts for it, and found a donor car for a top/roof.
  4. Sorry, I should have said socket. I'm pretty sure it was one of these. Like I said, I took the new switch in with me to test the fit. When I got home, I used the socket to remove the old switch and install the new one. This was on my 58, but the 37 and the 41 use pretty much the same pressure switch. Lee
  5. I just bought a new one at O,Reilly's this summer. Took the old switch with me (they had two sizes).
  6. When I read it I thought the same thing, he's looking for a vendor, not necessarly an ad.
  7. That's an excellent idea. Wish I thought of that before I bought carpet for my 37. http://www.macsautoparts.com/ford_mercury_early/interior-parts-and-trim/rubber-floor-mats.html?cm_mmc=google-_-1932-48+V8+Non+Branded-_-Broad-_-%2Bford+%2BFloor+%2BMats&cm_guid=1-_-100000000000000046521-_-103785912482&ne_ppc_id=1161&ne_key_id=21512707&ne_sadid=103785912482&gclid=CKv56KPUmswCFQmRaQodpt4GzQ
  8. This is what I put in my 41 Business Coupe for the heater switch. Found it on eBay:
  9. Try Agape Auto: http://agapeautoparts.com/products/products.htm
  10. This is where it's locate on a 41 Plymouth frame.
  11. What about the dimmer switch? I've seen several posts here about issues with those. Maybe mash it 15 - 20 times and try the headlights again.
  12. I think that was the norm. I have one in my glove box of my 41 that came from the inside of one of my hubcaps.
  13. I was thinking the same thing Ed. Bumper guards and tail light make me think 40 Plymouth.
  14. That is what I have on my 37.
  15. It's either a 64 or 65. They came with either a slant 6, or a 273. Picture is my sons 65 with a 273.
  16. It’s factory. Little known fact, that same grill guard was used on the 57-58 Plymouths. You can see it below the license plate on my car. There are holes drilled through it, and it slides into those 53 bumper guards and attaches to them. On the 58 there are J-hooks that hook around the bumber brace. But it’s the same piece.
  17. That's what I was wondering? The battery cover on my 37 sedan seems much taller.
  18. First of all, let me thank you for all the great information. I have a line on a 39 Chrysler overdrive transmission. I read the part about the 39 having both a column and a floor shift. I’m told this is definitely a floor shift. I’ve printed out all the pictures to verify what I’m looking at when I go to purchase it. But my question is, will this bolt right in my 37 Plymouth sedan? Will I have to modify the drive shaft length? I’m just go into this with as much knowledge as possible. Thanks, Lee
  19. You could call Dennis Cutshall. He advertises in the back of the Plymouth Bulletin to re-line these e-brake bands. He might have a core for sale. His number is 712-545-3014. I know he has several 30's cars, including a 34 Plymouth in the restoration process. Lee
  20. Saw this truck at Mopars-in-the-Park a couple of weeks ago. He won first place.
  21. I had this issue with my 64 Fury convertible. They guy I bought it from brought a whole two door hardtop parts car just for the door. The top of the vent widow on the hardtop had a fin on it to close against the door frame rubber, while the convertible was flat to close against the top header. I found the vent windows on eBay from a guy back east who was junking out a rusty convertible. I won the auction, but the chrome was so pitted I couldn’t use them. But I now had a pattern on how it was supposed to be. The hardtop and the convertible vents were the same, except for that fin. I had a friend who had a mill, and he clamped it up and milled off the fin. Looks good, and no one had noticed.
  22. The correct radio would be a model 800.
  23. Did you get the car out of Nebraska. I know a guy who was selling a green P-15 with either 10,000 or 12,000 miles on it. Saw the car at a show once, very nice.
  24. I bought my fender skirts from these guys. Also sell sunvisors at a reasonable price. http://www.agapeautoparts.com/products/products.htm
  25. Wolk625, I just realized you were in Omaha. I live in Papillion, Some time next spring we'll have to get our coupes together. Lee
