1. It's March already! Hope this is the last of the snow for Nebraska.
2. Mine - 01 PT Crusier Wife - 99 300M Vacations and such - 01 Durango
3. The guy that sells the kick panels on eBay is First Class Parts. The parent company is REM, and they make a lot of reproduction parts. They are located near Hershey. I went there last fall and picked up the kick panels for my brothers P15 (wanted to save shipping), and a trunk mat for my 68 Fury. I also took the kick panels for my brothers 1950 P-19, and they made new ones and shipped them to us. And that gave them yet another pattern. I also picked up a set of the kick panels they sold as 40/41 Plymouth for my coupe, but when I got home, they didn’t match mine (I think they were 40 only). So I sent them back, along with mine, and they made new ones of them as well. So when they advertise 46-54, at the end of the auction they ship the correct pattern. I’m very pleased with the quality, price, and color. Lee
4. I've seen it on the Bay before as well. It's in NJ, but near Philly. It looks like something funny is going on under the hood. I see one of those ballast resisters on the firewall, yet it has a 6 volt battery. Does anyone on the board live near that would be willing to look at the car? I have a retired teacher acquaintance that saw mine last year and wants one real bad. But he’s concerned about buying sight unseen, and then paying to get it shipped here.
5. Hey, I got my new skirts from Agape Auto (thanks Robin and Rodney). Even though the temperature here in Nebraska is in the single digits, I had to go out to the garage and try one on. Now comes the hard part, getting the paint to match.
6. Lincoln, NE Sunday, March 11, 2007. It's put on by the Eastern Nebraska Western Iowa Car Council at the State Fair Park.
7. Here's a guy who will make a second plate for $50.http://www.darrylsplates.com/
8. Papillion, NE here. I looked online, here is the link to the DMV. http://www.dmv.state.ne.us/dvr/mvtitles/duptitle.html
9. I think they are still making them. I had my model 800 repaired for my 41 coupe last year, and the repair guy boasted he put in a new 6V positive ground solid state vibrator.
10. We are going to try the woodgrain route on my brothers 46 P-15. His dash is nice, but the window garnish moldings are bad. I saw this company at Hershey last fall, and was impressed with their product. http://www.woodgraining.com/cgi-bin/Forum/ikonboard.cgi Has anybody had any experience trying this? We are going to order the basic kit tonight. Their video’s make it look easy, they even show doing the window moldings. I emailed them, and they told me what pattern and ink to order. And what color gray to paint the base color. We’ll see how it goes. Lee
11. First Class Parts has an auction for kick panels on eBay right now. I picked up a set from them at the factory when I went back to Hershey this year only to get home and find they weren’t quite correct. So I worked with them to develop new ones from an original from my car and one from another member in our club. They did an excellent job, right down to the cardboard piece on the back for the mounting clips. I think the price is reasonable too. 12. WOW Robin, those look great. I ran across that WEB site right after I left that post. I just typed in Plymouth Fender Skirts on Google and they were one of the Links. I wish I knew about them before. I paid $200 for a use sun visor on eBay, and I could have bought a new one for $225. I sent them an email to see what they have for the 41. I’ll keep you posted. Lee
13. I’m looking to put a set of Fender skirts on my 41 Plymouth Coupe. Anyone have any experience with the fiberglass skirts J. C. Whitney sells, or the tear drop repoduction steel skirts I’ve seen for sale on the net? It’d be nice to have a set of original ones, but they get pretty pricey. I figured once they are painted and installed, who can tell the difference?
