  1. Kris is good, don't get me wrong...but I like J. Cash version better....either way the lyrics are great...
  2. I have a couple of his books here, as I recall looking though these some of his pictured vehicles as not as when new but as presented after a cosmetic makeover of the owner...I feel a few owner liberties are displayed....
  3. FedEx is my least favorite and today is the end of three days of my product with a shipping label for FedEx with no pickup by the carrier.....of course...that is the pure cheese for a shipper to create a label and e-bay recognize it as being shipped when in fact it is nowhere near entering the system....if no change tomorrow...will cancel the order and purchase elsewhere.....I do not reward poor venders.
  4. oilite has flourished.....it has application across the whole spectrum of applied mechanicals....it has great wear properties but....cannot take a beating/pounding application, use the 660 here....used a ton of these on the last project with 1 3/8 ID as common bore...the OD was proprietary.....my little machine shop to the rescue here....
  5. good idea...run with it....why pass the buck to someone else....
  6. use of phosphoric does the same thing....with a couple exceptional benefits....it does not harm good steel as it reacts with oxide only and the stuff is a lot safer for the user to handle...it comes in a plastic container so we know it will not harm that.....lol
  7. put it in an alley in this town and the metal collectors will have it and gone especially with the higher prices paid for recycle metal today...we have folks that cruise for scrap metal and snarf it all. Once they took my yard art out of the west orchard....a kids rusty bike against the tree, I call it The Last Ride....tat the prices of steel that period of time....they may have gotten 40-45 cents for their effort.?
  8. Call me when you get to work on a Doble steamer......
  9. trucks still have these in them and you may be able to find one to lay in place...remember a real truck is one you can wash with a hose......ON THE INSIDE this is one of the where's the true to original and points cars and myself part company.....but I do understand what others want.....
  10. If I have an item outside that of the USPS flat rate box....UPS is my go-to shipper...close to home, only open for 2 hours a day though. Got to ship between 5 and 7 PM You get used to it but for sure they have the better record for delivery, no damage and courteous drivers. Lately though they quit taking cash for shipping.....if you do not have an established account.....got to use the card....then they don't take Discover....learning curve as things change in todays marketplace. Eneto-55 It seems to be my experience if any mail had to go through Ohio...add 5 days...
  11. well weather is not why my car had not peeked out this year....it was more the fact it was locked in by ongoing work beneath the lift and behind it.....got it down off the lift and out into the air yesterday during a musical car session as I jockeyed them in position for their next stages of work....I washed the dust off the Porsche this morning.....dang, you can now tell it is actually a black car.....may, just may attend a upcoming cruise
  12. as for the non-ethanol...yeah I would prefer it but my cars are also built to run on ethanol..it is still a better blend that what was at the pump in 1952..the only time I spare the change for non-ethanol is my small engines, chainsaws, weedeater and blower etc. My mower rarely will set as if I am not mowing grass, in winter I am mulching leaves....never has time to go stale.
  13. your bang on 5/64 float could end up with you banging your head as to percolation later especially if you are going to use pump fuel of ethanol blend.....suggest lowering the float level a tad.
  14. insert an inside sleeve/liner here or if fitted to the pipe already it is in good repair....
  15. they all suck about right now.....there is no competition....you may think there is but with govn't sub contracting and volume verse weight....there is not...also more to do with location.....UPS is 5 miles down the road with a hub.....FedEX is 40....DHL....and they handed the last one off to FedEx...it is a nightmare.....USPS works good IF YOU CAN get the shipper to take it to the PO and hand it off in a timely manner.
  16. even if we got a crowd change here, the stuff required to install the T/S per your posted drawing are a few items shy of needed pieces unless you forgot to photograph them.....you may have purchased a open kit that lost an item or two in handling....for instance and key to install is the other lamp holders that go in the holes left and right of the indicator with the arrows....and then there is the question of the light socket pigtails that will be needed to change from parking light to that of parking and turn signal and we do not even know if you will be using the brake light circuit through the flasher for a full modern operation or if you will still be the single high mount brake light ......
  17. with apologies....last one... wife send man to store for a carton of milk....she ads....if they have eggs get a dozen..so the man comes home with 12 cartons of milk.....wife goes ballistic, why 12 cartons of milk....he replied, they had eggs...
  18. a question one would have difficulty answering....the length will depend on the mount ears of the engine stand....you need to take a measurement of the mounts...allow for backing washers and length for the depth of thread in the block casting...you get than then if you don't know the diameter/pitch..I will walk to the shop to gauge mine....
  19. I have a feeling you right....! The guy with the desk for sale Desk for Sale, suitable for woman with fat legs and big drawers
  20. ads are a way I find a laugh now and then...some folks have no clue at all.....I wanted to ask this guy how many baseballs did it take to stuff this bear....but many have zero sense of humor.....so just chuckle and move along... Vintage baseball stuffed bear (bookoo.com)
  21. the square drive of a ratchet.....
  22. seems with the intent to stay stock, or at least stock appearance...you have really limited your options....the only thing left to do now it seems is pony up or take the bus.......I understand the initial cost and the extreme cost of overseas shipping....one of our overseas guys just recently posted a link to a company that will work as your agent....kinda get the impression they fill a container and then disperse the product once in Europe...
  23. surely there are a lot more things in the kit than you have showing....rear socket dual element pigtails, the indicators for the dash and their associated directional overs...any way you could picture this.....side view of the dash mounted indicator....detailed instructions that were with the kit...
  24. Due to a bit of rough weather, hard rains and gusty winds.....we had a few tomatoes blown from the vine green.....so...Mums made me FRIED GREEN TOMATOES and they were excellent....I may have eat too much...... the garden has been for the most part very successful with maybe the bell peppers less than as productive as normal. We have eaten well so far....first year for eggplant and they grew very well here.
  25. man is doomed early in life if he cannot recognize his KRYPTONITE.
