  1. Thank you . Now I clean out the master cylinder suck out all that is there them start pumping dot three through the bleeders ? How do I know when the system is flushed . For instance put a couple of litres through ,or is it more complicated ? What is this brake clean solution ?
  2. I tapped the frozen piston back and found no rust . How would I test this cylinder maybe with compressed air or hook it back to the brake line ? There is nothing to clean that I can see a little bit of dirty looking brake fluid once whipped cylinder walls are shiny
  3. I have dot 5 silicone brake fluid in my car and have a frozen wheel cylinder . Should I pump it all out ,how would I do that ?
  4. Well I ordered my parts today from AB couldn't find them any where in Canada . Harmony I will place them in kitty litter for a couple of weeks , then heat them with a torch to see if any fluid shows up . Thanks to everyone
  5. Harmony my shoes are 5 years old I know we don't travel that far in these babies but the brakes are poor at best . I really can't afford new shoes and cylinder but I can't afford not to so I will be replacing them . Also the shoes were soaked in fluid been sitting like that all winter.
  6. Thanks Kieth I will replace all four front shoes also Its a bummer.
  7. Hi I just started getting my car ready for spring I found brake fluid under front tire . removed tire and drum and found the shoes covered in brake fluid .I cleaned everything up with brake cleaner and found the culprit the upper cylinder is seized out and fluid leaking around the cup. I will order a new cylinder next week . My question is do I need to replace the front shoes or is cleaning them enough? Thanks . I remember reading this very question before but can't find it and can't remember the answer.

  12. Don't forget to clean the pickup pan while you have it apart. I for one didn't know to do it until I read it on this forum.
  13. Seen one on E Bay says 41 - 48
  14. Hi Mark I tried to post pics of my interior I keep getting that max size 3 MB. To answer your question re SMS fabrics ,that is where I got my broadcloth for my interior . I had to go to the Better Business Bureau to get them to send my material after waiting about a year. There is nothing wrong with the material the interior looks great . I got my headliner from WLS headliners out of Georgia. it was a perfect fit and also looks great . Good luck with your project.
  15. If you look at the tooth wheel part it also has been hitting the latch wrong .
  16. Also make sure the seal is the right side up.
  17. Great info thank you
  18. Mine came from Napa. Try there
  19. Your 40 would have had 16 inch rims the 48s were the first to switch to 15 inch rims. Or maybe you are switching to to 15 inch rims.
  20. I also had trouble with my pinion seal from Bernbaum . Someone on the forum said to try the Napa seal 18880 it worked no leaks since my car is a48 plodge'
  21. I thought it looked off also . It may not be sitting on its original frame. I love the truck ,its a beaut.
  22. I took some pics hope they help.7-341 attaches to the splash pan and fenders as per pic the holes are slotted to allow movement on the fender attachments. Also took pics that show 15-11-7 attachment points Just a reminder my car is a D25 ,doesn't have part 7-31-10.
  23. Are you sure that parts manual is for a 48 P15 . I went and looked at my Canadian 48 dodge which is basically the same as a P15 and those parts aren't there. Just maybe that is a difference between the P15 and the D25 .Sorry on closer inspection I do have those parts amazing what a light will do.
  24. Love your Plymouth
  25. That is one nice looking car ,good for you.
