but, am I really the only one that thinks it is so stupid to see every person in every advertisement on TV dancing about.....how utterly stupid that looks....I never see this in real life.....and then some of the drug commercials, clown walking like a fricking turkey or bouncing along...if that  drug makes you walk or even want to walk like that...LEAVE ME OUT.....I think I am sane but I am going to color the world stupid about right now..

Guess I am out of it: When we moved to the current house a few years back I never bothered to setup an outdoor antenna or get cable TV. We just stream Netflix, Smithsonian Channel, etc. to the TV. End result: I don't think I've seen a TV ad in several years so I was unaware that dancing in commercials is "a thing".

Maybe there is a similar thing on ads shown on streaming videos, but I've setup a whole house ad blocker system so most ads don't make it to any device in the house.

That doesn't get me so much, as does the everylasting smiles and jolly laughter at everyday annoyances. I've never seen anyone laugh at something that just went 'wrong', like burned dinner, spilled milk, etc. etc. Just doesn't happen that way.?

We have a TV and Netflix. I never use it. Don't know the remote well enough to turn any of it on any more. No need anyway. I am entertained in my garage. I read books. I have this site and about 10 other sites I check in on for News. Weather. Classifieds. Car stuff.  You tube too That's about it. I have zero time for TV. Sitting though 12 minutes of commercials for every hour you watch TV? They still make you do that?

We stream TV. We watch maybe 3-4 hours per week. We don't watch anything with commercials. The only commercials I've seen in years has been in restaurants or bars. Not too much of that lately.

When people at work start talking about network shows from the evening before, I tell them I don't watch that. They look at me like I have two heads.

I do not make it a point to watch anything...it is just what the wife has on for the most part....I will watch Law and Order....Big Bang Theory for laughs and if a movie does come up I wish to see.....record it, watch it when it is raining or late night and ff through the commercials.   Still I admit, I see more TV than I should...

That's because you're twice as smart as they are.

I am always amazed when I am reading the News  how few people from the entertainment industry I recognize.  I either have to look them up(if I care enough) or ask my wife(who knows almost all of them)
