Yep, More chevy, less Mopar.

Oh, and, "waiting for a transplant". Bet it would be super easy to swap out a sbc for a sbm. !!

Wow there are a lot of clever guy's on this site, but that's what it's all about is having fun. My first car was a CHISLER product, a 48 Plymouth 4 door sedan that you see on the Avatar. My high school buddy and his girl friend spent alot of time in the back seat on double dates back in 1960, they really gave high marks for the roomy interior, but that's another story. After careful consideration I think that Chevler probably is overkill, so i'm considering PLYMROLET. After all the valve covers say Packard, so may'be PACMOLET might fit? I'll have to do some more study but thanks to eveyone for your comments. I had fun reading them how about you? I wonder what the Packard

guy's might say?    :D

Clever?? No, I'd venture to opine that as a group, we are simply HONEST.

Why is it that you gm types want, nay, need to disguise what you have? If you are not proud of the 'X' that you are building then why build it? If you desire to have a Packard engine there are plenty to be had. Cheap? No. Same as you clowns putting the EarlyHemi valve covers on brand x engines. I have refused to sell vc to folks who admit what they are planning.

If you want a shiverlay then buy/build a damned shiverlay. And please, this is a MOPAR forum, don't insult us with bastard swaps.

this argument is forever..it is a classic example of:       DON'T ASK..DON'T TELL

I have never looked twice a brand x powered car no matter what the make or model and that included if or if not stock..as a professional mechanic we loved the brand x..keep us fed and paid our bills...and out of 14 mechanics at the dealership I worked, 13 mechanics drove a mopar..one had a ferd...that alone tells the whole story..and by the way, management made us park way out on the back row well behind the body shop and out of view as it was not a good testament to the brand they were selling...lol

most folks have not the shop tools and fabrication skill to make drop in mounts and other related stuff for these old cars..the industry does revolve about the brand X and makes kits available for those who like to bolt-and-go and it is only the short profile engine by the very water pump design it has the popularity it does...lord know their performance and durability suck the big one..(see Summit Racing report on this topic).....but, there are trades off everywhere...I have never understood why they buy other brands myself..usually it is to be different, dad had one etc.....but yet in the end the thing is more cookie cutter than classic...same bling bling billet stuck everywhere...its a seen one seen them all scenario that is as boring as oat meal
