Plymouthy Adams Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 its an indication that you are getting old and your blood is thinning out.. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Was cooler than usual here in MO this morning, too. Didn't look at the thermometer.....but probably in the low 60s, or high 50s. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 I was jerking Norm's chain a bit..we have already had a few cools mornings here in mid-Georgia..actually very refreshing..the summer could have been worse for sure or the fact that I spent my summer indoors remodeling may have been the reason it did not seem so bad. I am on a push to get my house project finished up before the first big swap meet of the year...just a couple weeks to go.. Quote
woodie49 Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Hotter than usual here in Irvine, in So. Cal. This last week and week-end temps were mostly in the 90's. Way too hot to drive my car:(. Waiting for colder weather. It did get down to 68 degrees this morning at about 6:15. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Ya know, Norm... I was saying the same thing this morning... "What a nice October morning"... I've had enough of this Global Warming crap... Merle Quote
1940plymouth Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Norm, Same here in the Catskills this morning, temp was 52 degrees at 4am when I got up, only in the lower 60's today with plenty of sunshine. Tonight it is suppose to get down to about 43 degrees by morning, then in the middle 60's tomorrow. Hard to believe that less than two weeks ago it was in the 90's here with high humidity. Quote
Young Ed Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Ya know, Norm... I was saying the same thing this morning... "What a nice October morning"... I've had enough of this Global Warming crap... Merle This cold snap has forced them to change the term to climate change so people won't get off the bandwagon. Guess they can't except that the earth naturally warms and cools. Quote
Captain Neon Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 This cold snap has forced them to change the term to climate change so people won't get off the bandwagon. Guess they can't except that the earth naturally warms and cools. I was required to take Ecology as a Biology majour at the U of MN. I took my Ecology class during Winter Term. It must have been -40*F outside and a grad student opened the class session looking for volunteers to assist in her global warming project. I couldn't resist. I was the only one to raise my hand, and she was so excited thinking that I was volunteering on the spot and would open a flood-gates of peer pressure. I calmly asked her, "What if you don't believe in global warming? I mean, have you been outside today? I'd be in favour of a little global warming today." My professor was chuckling, but you would think that I had told a Catholic nun that Mary was not a virgin from the grad student's look on her face. I think she went to the restroom she was so in shock that any one, much less a lowly undergrad, could possibly question global warming. Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 I don't know what your talking about. It's 100 outside with 10% Humidity and heavy smoke and ash in the air. We wish it was cooler here to help the firemen fight the fires. Dennis:rolleyes: Quote
Young Ed Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Dennis I wish it was cooler there too. We could certainly use a little balancing out. Quote
RobertKB Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Very hot for here in sunny southern Alberta, Canada. It's been around 90F for the last week or so. Cools off nicely in the evening and overnight. However, it is the first real bit of proper summer we have had this year. Up until now you might get a couple of nice days but then it would rain, blow, be cold for a week or two. It has been a cool wet summer for us here. I am enjoying the heat we have at present. Surprisingly, further north in Alberta they are suffering from a severe drought. It's a big province and weather can certainly change within it. Quote
greg g Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Supposed to be in the low to mid 80's all this week, 50's and 60's at night. No rain for a change, Perfect weather for the New York State Fair going on till next Monday. Quote
Don Coatney Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 High of around 90 here in Miami with humidity readings to match the temperature. I could ring out my shirt by 9AM. Somewhere on this earth there must be the perfect temperature with a balanced humidity. Anyone know where that is? Quote
TodFitch Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 San Diego and or Maui. Silicon Valley is pretty good right now: 73F with a light breeze. I'll check out how San Diego is tomorrow and Wednesday. Quote

Summer might be a different story but who from Canada in their right mind would go to Hawaii in the summer. Quote
