Frank Elder Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Doe's anyone have info on these tires? I've never seen Low Profile WWW's before. Quote
Don Coatney Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 I was glad I had never seen them. O-ring tires are for bicycles. Quote
greg g Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 That hurts my eyes, please no more posts of those. Quote
Tony Cipponeri Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 I don't like the rubber bands on rims either. Tony C Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 driving a car with )-rings is like skating with steel wheels on a gravel road.. Quote
Frank Elder Posted February 14, 2009 Author Report Posted February 14, 2009 OK, I get it, your Biased:D LOL. Quote
P15Mike Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Frankie , nice play on words ...well done Mike Quote
greg g Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Perhaps were are burdened with Radial ideas........ Quote
GeorgeLeonard Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Just so Frankie doesnt feel alone, I think they look good on that vehicle. The nice part of wheels and tires is that you can have lots of different sets so you can change them to suit your mood. At least thats the way I look at it. Needless to say, I have a garage full of wheels and tires. Also, needless to say, my wife does not share my perspective. Quote
GeorgeLeonard Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Ive got a *hitload of hubcaps and wheelcovers as well. I cant seem to get enough of them. Im buying them all the time. Im glad I have so many cars so I can change them constantly. I guess its all part of my overall car addiction. I like steering wheels too. Quote
Frank Elder Posted February 14, 2009 Author Report Posted February 14, 2009 George thanks fo having my back, but the are strange looking to me, not desirable, maybe on the new 300...was just curious. Quote
GeorgeLeonard Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Well, I guess Im the only one who likes them then. I always knew my addiction to wheels and tires would get me in trouble at some point. Quote
Frank Elder Posted February 14, 2009 Author Report Posted February 14, 2009 I stole the picture from the car's wanted section. Posted by the CarolinaRodShop, maybe they'll chime in but I doubt it. George, I collect vintage cash registers and slot machines, it gets me in trouble with the keeper of the budget all the time! Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 I was glad I had never seen them. O-ring tires are for bicycles. I'll second that. I don't even like low profile tires on modern cars. Quote
Joel Torres Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 well i like em {the tires} the rims i wouldn't use but hey that's what makes us all different heck i know for a fact allot of people hate my jeep but it makes me feel like one of those bikers that pull up next to a normal guy at a red light i get the dirty looks like im a lowlife and i should be taken off the road but i live my life for me not even my wife can tell me what to do those tires would look hot on a 300m Quote
RobertKB Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 To each their own but I would not own those tires. Not a big fan of low profile tires but think they look OK on the smaller cars of today, especially imports. Quote
Flatie46 Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 Maybe those have been painted. Quote
pflaming Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 I'm not crazy about the wheels and tires either, but I like what he did to the paint. For me, on that car, original wheels painted a deep brown would look cool. The car looks like a 47+/- Plymouth BUSINESS coupe. Am I correct? Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 The tires look like they are photochoped into the photo. If you look close at the whitewalls they don't look right. Dennis:cool: Quote
aero3113 Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 I way going to say the same Dennis. It looks like the white wall is on the upper part of the rim on the rear wheel. Quote
Cpt.Fred Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 i think you can't tell if it's photoshop. there is a correct shadow on the rear wheel. the photo is much too small for a proper judgement, but the weired look might come from using a big flasher on the camera. only thing you can tell for sure is that this one ugly set wheels:eek: ---> one eye on the "rat rod" thread... you can have your radials reconfigured by vulcanizing WWs on them afterwards, i've seen that on shows. problem is that the tires remain radials no matter how much white you use on them. Young Ed Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 If I recall that car correctly it was made for road racing and has complete front and back corvette drivetrain and suspension including the wheels. Quote
