  1. You beat me to it... Great product!
  2. Had a similar crack on a 440 block I fixed. I also used Lock-N-Stitch as you showed in your picture. After grinding down and needling the area, you can't see the repair after I repainted the engine block. Good stuff!
  3. Lock-N-Stitch works great too... Saved many blocks that way myself. Way easier than welding, looks better too. Nonetheless, saving the block is possible and not impossible nowadays.
  4. If I ever recover from this flu nonsense, I have a lot of truck bell housings to share.... Sigh I see this as a helpful thread, especially if your looking to find a correct bellhousing for your application. Every car/truck I find have the drivetrains missing. So I really like this! Thanks for posting guys.
  5. Keep at it, you will get that broken plug out eventually. Can't wait to see you get it running.
  6. If your looking for a 1930's car bell housing and transmission, let me know. I have a few extras.
  7. Beautiful car! Welcome to the forum.
  8. Welcome to the forum.
  9. I have a 1954 Windsor I want to part with. You can have the entire car for little money. I can't find an engine for it and I have thrown in the towel. I need the space for my 1937 instead. Please PM me.
  10. The stroke is a must. Despite what the block reads, you never know what's inside.... I found a 218 converted to a 230. This is just one good example.
  11. Please PM me with their address. I need to locate some parts. Thank you for sharing your find.
  12. Wow! Sounds like a wonderful place to visit.
  13. Hi Tim, I haven't received a call back from you since the last BBQ. I was wondering if you might have a part I need for my 1937 1.5 Ton Truck. Despite my efforts to reach you, no one seems to have your number. You bought the 1939 1.5 Ton hood ornament from me. I had my wife and two boys with us. Thanks Tim
  14. Awwwwww.. If I knew you sooner I had a freeby for ya! Dang it! Oh well, keep looking, they are out there.
  15. I need parts for my NP540 5 speed. They came in 56 and up trucks. Mine has a broken top cover, I got it out of a 1956 2 Ton.... Thank you and I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas.
  16. Merry Christmas everyone. All the trucks are apart, parts are being purchased, maybe next year I will have one bolted back together? Perhaps... Thanks for posting the awesome inspiring pictures guys!
  17. I may have been the guy mentioned with the 360 in the 1959 D100. I managed to break the frame behind the steering box once. I was running it up to 7000 RPM with a 11:1 360. I was driving it daily on race gas. Way before settling down and having a family! After I reinforced the frame, my problems went away with cracking up the frame. If you drive it sensibly, your frame will be fine. If you drive it hard, follow 48Dodger's advice. Your truck is a beauty!
  18. I like how the engine looks in red.
  19. I love his headers, they are a work of art!
  20. So true! Little bugger.... Sigh
  21. Nope... Even better, earning it by working around the ranch. I feel that if he learns that earning is a result of working for it, he may think twice about being destructive. Perhaps I am over thinking this? Hmmmm.
  22. Children don't quite understand what harm they can do. My 10 year old beat the taillight lenses out of my 1937 Dodge with a hammer. He now knows better, I gave him a eBay tour just to show how much those lenses cost...
  23. I had some success freeing up a 230 using that new WD-40 Rust Inhibitor Stuff. I was impressed! I ran out of Kroil and tried it out of desperation. It has unlocked 4 engines now. All of which have been left outdoors. Perhaps I got lucky?
  24. Hi Kev, Thank you for sharing your progress. This topic is inspiring me. I use Redline to restore my gauges, Shannon does great work. If you have someone else in mind, please let us know how it turns out. -Jack H.
  25. Welcome to the forum! Your car is lovely.
