  1. Everyone calm down here.... Breathe... I am taking the necessary steps to avoid fines. After I get everything wrapped up, I will then decide on whether or not I want to be vigilant with this naughty neighbor. PS- this "neighbor" called the Sheriff on me, he was upset that I have one of my Kansas vehicles here... The Sheriff was not pleased. A big waste of time and a disservice. The Sheriff is a great guy, I am glad that I met him. He will help me if I ask for his wisdom in regards to how to handle the guy next door to me....
  2. Money can always be made, but our time is very short and limited. Congratulations Flatie46! I am very happy for you. I too can be rehired with previous employers. You must be a very professional guy.
  3. I have a thread regarding this in the "off topic" part of the site.
  4. Sounds like a good plan. Not to mention fun too!
  5. Being that I had to stop working on my 1937, because of code enforcement issues... I have been driving my 1969 Plymouth. Burned 1 tank of gas in the past week.
  6. Ahhh. A very clever way to save our hobby! Hehe
  7. Another reason I prefer the Droid! Every body I know with a iPhone has limited battery life and other issues...
  8. If you see my friend Larry at the Plymouth Owners get together, tell him hi for me. Sounds like some fun... Building my business is taking away my fun for now. But perhaps in the near future, I will have no worries in funding my projects. Please post some pictures from your trip. As someday, I hope to do the same.
  9. I will miss the BBQ because my engine went south. I will be spending the next few days replacing it. I love turning wrenches and need this for therapy. That is a neat VW project for sure. I have never owned one, but perhaps someday I will. I hope that you can get it on the road again, or find someone who can. Have fun at the BBQ!
  10. You are 100% right. But.... Only a few of us own a distributor machine. My biggest challenge is locating good points. New store bought points are junk. I have hoarded a few sets, but when I run out, I'm out. Never had any luck with Pertronics, so perhaps I can figure out another option, if needed...
  11. I scored a damaged but usable radiator cap/hood ornament last week for my 1937 Dodge 1.5 Ton truck. Hard to find! I will repair it and shine it up someday.
  12. Using a 12 Volt battery next to you, you can hook up your timing light to it, and it will work fine. I do it all the time. Once the pickup senses the spark, the light will flash. As far as the fine tuning goes, I always prefer the vacuum gauge method myself.
  13. Latest news... Bought a Quonset Hut. Next step involves lots of trips to the planning department. If it's legal, the neighbor can just pucker up!!! LOL
  14. Impressive big engine! How did they time it to run like that? Wow... My neighbor in Kansas has small hit and miss "single cylinder" to pump his oil well.
  15. I wanna see a picture of it... Glass bowl sounds neat. I may have seen one before, but I never have put my hands on one.
  16. I talked to him on the phone 1 day before he died at the race track... A top notch man, well missed from us vintage Mopar builders.
  17. That guy is giving one hell of a deal including parts. Does he use a torque plate?
  18. To be honest, me being on the cheap, I have taken the last couple of years to buy pistons, rings, bearings, and etc. off of eBay. When timed right, I have found complete piston sets with rings as low as $35 shipped. Unfortunately, I don't have any "spares" to offer. But if in a hurry, try pricing with Vintage Power Wagons first.... Then source everything out with everyone else. Rock Auto used to be good, but I have noticed price increases as of late, and not as many parts left to be purchased. I suppose that the well maybe drying up, so to speak. Try Summit Racing too... Let your fingers do the walking to save a couple of bucks here and there...
  19. Gotcha... OK, sorry for the misunderstanding. I really miss my buddy from Plydo. He made some great brake conversion parts.
  20. I would assume that if you use Mustang II parts, that finding Ford brake parts would be a piece of cake.... Why would a scarebird kit be sourced if you use the cheapest suspension out there? Just curious.... Most of our vehicles are IFS, not quite understanding why you would use Ford IFS over the Mopar... Why is your username Unknown? Perhaps you can try the Hamb, a lot of custom builders that mismatch parts on cars have good info on this subject. I hope this will help in some way....
  21. Off topic, but don't forget about the motor city madman!!!! LOL He built some cool stuff!
  22. You can buy the socket at a Tractor Supply Company store chain, or a Menards at a great price. I got both sockets for cheap at the TSC.... I want to say that I bought them for around 10 bucks each a couple of years ago....
  23. Hi Jeff, welcome to the forum! I just sent you a PM. Mr. Fargo is right. All of us here can do our best to help you out.
  24. That car looks amazing! Thanks for the pictures of how it's done. Very neat idea!
