  1. DOI (Distinctness Of Image) . Somebody is into optics.
  2. I thought he couldn't get up.
  3. I would try a two jaw wheel puller putting pressure on the inside of the bushing as you ease it out!
  4. Here is a link to those. http://www.robertsmotorparts.com/store/dodge-truck-bed-mounting-pads-1928-1954
  5. John, post a photo and dimensions of the nut you're looking for. I would think that Ace has one, I'm surprised at the things they have when you start digging around!
  6. Got pistons. They sure look boring..... . Sometimes boring is absolutely stunning! Wow the machine work is beautiful. Nice rebuild.
  7. You press down and I believe twist counter-clock wise. The younger guys raised with digital clocks, good luck!
  8. Wow John, your heater looks super! My truck acts a lot like you describe, must be that dry heat. Good luck on your recovery.

  15. John that is really a beautiful set up, where did you get the air cleaners?
  16. Just below the search function under "more".
  17. The cap I have was purchased this year at Oreillys.
  18. The vented cap should only allow air flow into the tank and not out so it will build pressure inside and not let fumes out. Generally when you open the cap it is releasing that pressure.
  19. I had a 4.11 in my '53 and changed it for a 3.55 from a Jeep Cherokee. Much better.
  20. Cover the end of the road draft tube to critters out.
  21. One way to check is to run it in the dark and look for sparks anywhere on or around the engine.
  22. Does anyone have a source for the GM head bolts?
  23. You are definitely livin' the dream!
  24. All that really needs to be done is to eliminate gas stations and that's been going on for years. They used to be at all the major intersections.
  25. I got hold of a Ford tie rod shortened it and threaded the right side and did use the same ends. I also mounted it from the underside of the steering arm because I have a Sid's 3" dropped axle and needed to clear the springs and get it parallel to the tie rod and reduce the chance of bump steer.
