  1. Remove the outside dual wheel and back it on. Might balance out.
  2. John, any photos of your Suburban?
  3. Where did the Cummins come from? Nice truck!! Christmas present from the wifey?
  4. Bret, the front truck is different than last year's truck! Very nice and you've got my prayers!
  5. My salute to those who served. A very tough assignment. Wars run by politicians are difficult to win.
  6. Report post #12 Posted August 24, 2013 All that having been said I have a question: does it take special tools to rebuild a water pump. I have two cores, would like to rebuild both of them. My engine has an external water pump. I didn't catch that until the gasket leaked, then I had to get a different head, so now I have two internal heads, both squared and hardly used. Quote Edit Found this in my search. My water pump is Six plus years old, according to the above. Since I'm going to put in a new timing chain, I think I'll replace the pump also. Do others agree?
  7. DJ. Tomorrow / Saturday is tune up time on Phoenix! Im drivng it up on Friday! Can't have the BBQ without one of the "signature trucks! So get out your tools! LOL
  8. Both are impressive, I prefer non steel plate. To me it detracts from the rims. JMHO
  9. Saw this in Las Vegas! Interesting!
  10. PA, I do not understand the above post. I bought a door for ny '53 convertible from Rapid City SS. They said the door from a hardtop was compatible. Well, it was NOT, they would not offer any means of compensation on a $700 purchase. So much for them.
  11. Yes, but the vent window frame is intragal to the entire door, to change it is not a bolt off, bolt on exercise.
  12. The hard top door will not interchange with the convertible. The convertible is approximately 4" lower than the hard top.
  13. They did all that work, and then "clear coated" it!! "Where's the paint?"
  14. I sent you a personal message. I have an extra tank for a '53/54 Plymouth Suburban such as shown in the post above.
  15. " Starting to believe Mark and Brent bring the sunshine......can't be any other explanation " WRONG! It's the spouses! Best unorganized women's auxiliary any where!

  17. My '54 Suburban build threads started in 2013 a no this morning has 55,280 Niels and 5,000+ replies. I don't concern myself with the replies, som great, some good, some troubling. I'm just posting what I'm doing, I'm about to put it on the road, maybe next week. Wish me luck! When i finish, I will in some way down load the entirety, then edit to tell the story an save that edit some where. Certainly will give a copy to the next owner. I pick up my new shifter " EZ-SHFTR" this morning.
  18. I asked that incorrectly, . What if the cam itself was different than the original cam.
  19. When a camshaft is changed, 1) what essential benefit is derived, 2) what are the minimal changes required, be very basic with your replies. Tks paul
  20. Mark is an important part of the BBQ experience....he's my friend and a wealth of knowledge. AND he plays beer darts in his sandals!!! BUT best to hide the silver! LO.L
  21. Hey, that's my cable. I was getting ready to solder it together then wrap it. LOL,
  22. If someone can use mine pm me. I have the two spray nozzles as well. Will likely need a reservoir and tubing.
  23. I have one for my'53 that has a small fit pump!
  24. Lens, particularly that backup light clear lens are difficult to find, so plan B. Will use the '53 lens. The mounting bolts are very difficult to access. To avoid fighting rusty connections, I replaced the bolts and nuts.
