Saturdays weather looking a little scary now in the morning....the one weather reporter said "it's worrying meteorologist" and something about hail and high winds, and flash flooding......oh well...too late now! LoL. Just sad I couldn't get my truck in the enclosed trailer

Well I spent the afternoon in the hotel parking lot...I guess having my truck strapped tight on the frame and all the bouncing caused the oil pan to hit one of the pressure lines on my rack and pinion and bust the line...so that was a huge ordeal to find a Napa and make a line that would work and then get back to find out my battery died....then in boosting it, or maybe before my alternator died...so that was issue number two...then I had taken a spacer out of the rack mount, thinking it would help for future oil pan issues, but then the boot hit the mount, so back apart again......helluva long day...glad it's over, and I'm running again...for now lol. See you tomorrow when the rain stops!

I just got back from "Back to the Fifties" AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is 12,000 vehicles that are older than 1964 and the setting with the State Fair Grounds is incredible.

I would like to thank Ed & Carmon for hosting the BBQ. I really enjoyed talking with them and there parents.

I would also like to thank Mark & Linda for putting me up for the weekend and driving us around to see the sites (COE) in the ghetto cruiser.  I also had a blast with Merle & Michelle and Jeremiah & Sarah. It felt like we have been friends for years and everybody got along great.

Thanks all for a great vacation!!

Cheese for the BBQ-------------------------------------------------$22.00

Fuel for my truck to get there and back-------------------------$268.00

Tip Merle &I left for the waitress with the hottest body------$20.00  (could have very easily been half of everything I own)

Watching Mark's nephew stand on his running board-------PRICELESS

4mula dlx,  I saw your cool truck but couldn't seem to find you.  Hopefully the other guys did.

Hey Todd, sorry I missed you and your semi, I think I only missed you by a bit! I found the other guys just down the lot from me thanks to a PM, it was great to meet everyone todY and put some faces to the names! The truck did good today, except for one return spring breaking on the freeway...thank god for two! Back to the show in the morning, then off to Fargo or Grand Forks for the night.

Michelle and I just got home, to her house. We both had a great time and I echo Todd's sentiments to Ed & Carmon, Mark & Linda, and the rest of the MN clan. We enjoyed hanging out with Jeremiah & Sarah throughout the weekend. And although Mark was on the receiving end of my jokes for most of the weekend I truly appreciate all that he did to organize our fun. Thanks Buddy.

It was also a pleasure meeting and chatting with Shane (4mula). I did see Mike and his green 1 ton briefly, in my mirrors, but never saw where he was parked so I didn't get to meet him. That place is huge and I know I didn't get into every area.

One of the highlights of my weekend was running into my high school shop teacher and seeing his nice '54 C1 truck again. However I forgot to get a picture of it.

Well I missed all of today, my best buddy Bo my basset hound took sick Friday and got real bad in a real hurry, and the news Saturday evening was pretty grim, the wife and I just couldn't enjoy ourselves knowing our dog was home and possibly on his last legs, so we pulled out at 3:30 this morning and got back to Manitoba to go pay him a visit...he was a bit better today, but still not out of the woods... But I can see cars any time, can't replace my dog, or being with him in his end.

Sorry to be a downer post, but it was great to see the amazing show and get to meet you guys, maybe in a couple years we'll return for a much better time!

Yep Merle, followed you in on Sat, great weekend, too much to see and not enough time. We had to change out a starter on my son's 64 el camino on Sat at the fair so that kept us busy. As always can't wait for next year!!!

it was a great time hanging with more than just me as a MoPaR truck guy!  Had a blast with Todd, Merle and Jeremiah!  Great to meet 4mula and chat!  Missed Mike every time I swung by his truck.  Ed was a great host for the BBQ, even tho he refused to park by us!   ;)   Great weekend and even tho I got lots of ribbing I know it was all in fun.  I talked to several truck guys and hopefully will swell our ranks here with a few more local guys.

Missed Tim this year...maybe next year...

Only times I actually drove my truck were Thursday before the BBQ to get some water and ice and then Sunday afternoon to a friends house for dinner.
