If it's anything like my 51, I'd say it will take an hour and the hood can be left on. As suggested pull the fan and loosen up the generator to slide it out of the way on the driver side. And use an extension with a swivel for the bolt on the passenger side. as that lower bolt on each side required a bit of finnese to remove. It's a pretty easy job just tight. Hope it helps.
Off the autozone website for my 51 cranbrook

Others will chime in on the gas tank And air cleaner.
The yellow one was pretty nice. 1951 route van, looked fairly original minus the paint. I will look Sunday when I'm back out of someone doesn't post before.
Heads up. If your going to the north registration site. The hotel off 694 and Lexington. Plan a little extra time to get there and back. Plenty of road construction to slow things up. Hope to see some of you there.
This is a link from a part number I have. http://m.autozone.com/suspension-steering-tire-and-wheel/shock-strut-front?searchtext=5752&oem=%205752
Shows about twenty bucks each.
I have a p23 just haven't got to the shocks yet. Let me know how these work for you if you go ahead with them.
I have fuzions on my daily driver, a 2010 Toyota rav 4. In short they are good cheap tires. They work well in the warmer months and are horrible in the winter. They get rock hard and loose all traction. If your not planning on driving when it's snowing or below 40 they may be an option for you. I recommend seeing if a dealer near you has any on hand and physically look them over before making a decision. I don't see myself purchasing this brand of tires again.
I just did a quick Google search for "1951 Plymouth cranbrook seat covers" as the topic made me curious to see what I could find for my car and I found this website: http://www.automotiveinteriors.com . They have a place to query your make and model for seat covers. I recieved an email from them and the link i posted before. I'm not at a point where I can move forward with my interior. I wonder if anyone on here had used them in the past. Did a quick search and they seem legit other forums have only good things to say about the company and product.
I found this place the other day. http://www.automotiveinteriors.com/AMSC_PART_DEC2015.pdf
I have not used them and do not know of anyone who has. They did answer my email promptly and provided me the above link for availability and pricing information.
