All, made it home from Port Huron in record time 11 hours and 9 minutes, total trip was 1241 trouble free Miles in the 49. Ran a solid 60-65 was getting 20.75 MPG  Great to see everyone. I think at the next meet POC or WPC we should hold our own Forum judging and give out awards.. Special thanks to Bob, Don and Greg for figuring out my brake light issue.

This was indeed a nice trip, well worth the effort just to meet a few more forum members, not to mention look over some really nice cars.

A few more;

The owner drove this up from Florida.  The only problem he said he had was passing gas stations...

Do you know what engine that wagon has? Dads 66 that I drive frequently is the same way with a 383 2bbl. Running the A/C probably doesn't help any. I believe on our 600 mile trip to S Dakota and back I got 11.5 MPG.

I don't.  I was talking to the owner while he was cleaning the bugs off before the show, he didn't have the hood open then, and I didn't think to ask.  Didn't pay it much attention during the show proper.

the 66 wagon had Commando lettering..as a C body I would suppect the 383   the 66 wagon I bought to replaced the 66 I wrecked of my dad's..(long story) was this color rad AC with 318and automatic..13 MPG..at 55 or 116 MPH...

There is a little badge there but I don't know what it says.

Ed..I was referring to the red wagon you pictured in thread 86  that is a definite commando V8 emblem..as the wagon is a bit larger than the A-bodies..would think they not referring to a 273

had we a picture of the back side hood ornament...the 383 could well be defined there...

I may be wrong but I think that emblem is just a simple V-Eight badge

I know you got me trying to remember if our 66 had a badge there too. Which it does but its different looking.
