BIGDOGTRUCKER Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 Always loved the old Dodge trucks from "39-up,esp. the PH's!I purchased this 1950 tractor yesterday, model is B-2YA142.She has a dual carb'd engine with a 5spd. and 2spd. rear end.The fifth wheel was robbed for another truck...She's in VERY nice shape with no rot, dent's ect....a true survivor! 2 Quote

Scruffy49 Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 Oh man that would go nicely with my deer blind... a pre WW2 semi trailer. That I would love to drag out of the bean field tre line and restore. So, guess I need to find a PH tractor as well as a B1D-126, my cute little B1B-108 loks more and more like a Chevron toy every tme somebody posts a 1 ton or larger PH. Great find. Welcome to the family. Quote
HanksB3B Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 Welcome. What a find. We've got a lot of great guys with all different models of trucks and it sure is nice to have help with things that someone can say "Been there done that" . Right now I'm going to be getting rid of the rubber fuel line (dangerous) and replacing it with steel. Is there an identification plate on the inside of the driver side door jamb that identifies what model your truck is. I'm also curious what identification numbers are on those twin carburetors there shoiuld be two stamped numbers on the vertical fin. Here you can make out CO 1. E9 G1 is also stamped but it's hard to read in this photo. Hank Quote

Scruffy49 Posted November 8, 2013 Report Posted November 8, 2013 It's winter, and at least in my 49, the heater is a farce. I'm still trying to thaw out from last night, so cold in Memphis that the engine in my daily driver 94 Ranger needed more than 40 miles to come up to temp. Quote
ggdad1951 Posted November 8, 2013 Report Posted November 8, 2013 I always love it when people down south have to "thaw out".....BWHAHAHAHA! Sorry, but Mephis ain't got cold! FEF's heater sure kicks the heat out up here! 1 Quote
