ggdad1951 Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 I've got patterns for ALL the glass (minus the corner) if you need any other patterns. Quote
Bradley S. Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 I had the pattern scanned and saved as a pdf file. It is attached. Window.pdf 1 Quote
my48stake Posted July 6, 2013 Report Posted July 6, 2013 Would this be the pattern for my '48 Stake? Also, how do the windows come out? My drivers side has a piece missing but the passengers side is just cracked, all the pieces are there and in place. If I can get the pass side out, without breaking it further, I can use it to make a pattern also. Quote
ggdad1951 Posted July 6, 2013 Report Posted July 6, 2013 the shop manual has glass removal instructions....but I took mine out thru the access panel in the door. You have to remove the two clips on the regulator and dismount the front guide from the door. Quote

Also, is the shop manual available online? If so, how do I access it? Thanks. Quote

my48stake Posted July 6, 2013 Report Posted July 6, 2013 Here ya go. http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/know.htm Perfect! Window is out I'm assuming the metal pieces on the edges of the glass just pry off leaving the glass. Any tips or tricks before I start prying? Quote
Merle Coggins Posted July 6, 2013 Report Posted July 6, 2013 Use a hand propane torch to "warm" up the metal and soften up the rubber. Then grip it with a gloved hand and pull it off. Merle Quote
NiftyFifty Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Hey guys, Anyone know if you can use the one piece side window in place of the vent window style with the proper modifications? I'm also looking for the glass pattern if anyone has? Quote
Brent B3B Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Hey guys, Anyone know if you can use the one piece side window in place of the vent window style with the proper modifications? I'm also looking for the glass pattern if anyone has? If it helps you at all the "NAGS pattern" number is 4244s. You might be able to give that number to a local glass shop for a pattern. Quote
NiftyFifty Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Thanks, I'll try that at the shop that cut my front windshields. Anyone know if there is any difference in the doors tho? Other then the obvious vent hinge and lock piece Quote
Desotodav Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Vent window removal is possible and has been discussed before - some good information at post #6 here from Merle... http://p15-d24.com/topic/7510-hello-everybody/?hl=%2Bvent+%2Bwindow+%2Bremove#entry63900.... and also this thread.. . The Oil Soup Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Hey Jeff, Mark at San Bernardino Glass has the patterns and the glass in any flavor you would like. Less than an hour from you, PM if you're interested. Gary Quote
David Strieb Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Thanks, I'll try that at the shop that cut my front windshields. Anyone know if there is any difference in the doors tho? Other then the obvious vent hinge and lock piece I converted my 53 pilot house standard cab to a vent window in the '80's. I gutted the doors from a deluxe cab and put the parts into my standard cab doors with no modifications, so I guess you could go the other way with the right parts. Quote
NiftyFifty Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Looks like that number won't work with anyone around here, so now I'm in need of a pattern if anyone has? I can get one made up, but where I live it's not easy to get the glass guy to drive 40 mins each way to build one. Quote
Brent B3B Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 sorry about that. is this what your looking for? if it is and nobody comes up with something, let me know and i'll take apart this door and trace the glass for you 1 Quote
NiftyFifty Posted January 6, 2015 Report Posted January 6, 2015 100% what I need....but I can wait if someone else comes up with it before from a window already out. I won't be mounting power windows until March likely Quote
ggdad1951 Posted January 6, 2015 Report Posted January 6, 2015 whomever/however a pattern is generated I'd appreciate one as well for TODD. thanks in advance! Quote
