Dave72dt Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 I'll assume the first picture is the "after you fixed it"! I recall the other two from an earlier post. Looks nice! Quote
pflaming Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 You turned a lemon into lemonaid. Looks GREAT! Quote
dontknowitall Posted October 27, 2011 Author Report Posted October 27, 2011 Thanks..yep it was like Lazures..resurected from the grave..another oldie back on the road! Quote
Reg Evans Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Very nice work! I've always been partial to wagons. Quote
sniggle_t Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Beautiful car! I love the lines of those old wagons! Quote
Don Coatney Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Looks great. How difficult was it to move the steering wheel to the wrong side I fixed it for you.. Quote
dontknowitall Posted October 28, 2011 Author Report Posted October 28, 2011 Haha Don.. Looks great. How difficult was it to move the steering wheel to the wrong sideI fixed it for you.. Quote
TodFitch Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 Looks good. Is it 1964? Same body panels as the '63 wagon/suburban I learned to drive on but with a different front end treatment. The one we had as way back then also had a 318 V8 rather than a slant 6. Trivia which might be wrong: I think 1963 is the last year that Plymouth referred to wagons as suburbans. Quote
Todd B Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 It is amazing what hard work and a very large checkbook can do. I love the before and after of the engine, wow. Quote
dontknowitall Posted November 1, 2011 Author Report Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) ok, some more pics from the inside, BTW the car is a Canadian 1965 plymouth valiant Safari Edited November 1, 2011 by dontknowitall Quote
dontknowitall Posted November 1, 2011 Author Report Posted November 1, 2011 We are waiting for the Dash pad to be restored and then there is the re-registration and cut and polish as this has still has to be done. Quote
Young Ed Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Was the instrument panel originally painted like that? It looks very similar to Dads 63 valiant convertible dash panel which is chromed plastic. Quote
Dave72dt Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Has the cut and polish already been done on the roof? Light reflections look really good already if it hasn't. Quote
dontknowitall Posted November 1, 2011 Author Report Posted November 1, 2011 The cut and polish still needs to be done..the paint is Glasurit 2 pack, we used the latest colour of the Mini black/white with the chrome looks fantastic. Quote
dontknowitall Posted November 2, 2011 Author Report Posted November 2, 2011 this was the finished project but not cut / polished yet to get out minor blemishes Quote
John-T-53 Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 (edited) Cool! The Torqueflite script on the back is awesome! Edited November 2, 2011 by John-T-53 Quote
