Now that I'm home and near my laptop, here's a few more shots from the weekend. First shot is a bridge on rt.5 I used to cross from NH into VT on Friday AM. Second is a self over the shoulder shot. :D Third shot is the p15 contingency enjoying the show. Fourth is my ride home through Franconia Notch on NH 93S. Fifth shot is most of the p15 contingency, yours truly in the center. Glad I took the time and went for the ride. It was a super experience even though I fried my genny on the way home. By the way I'm look for advice on a generator rebuild source.

Well we got to my house with no icidents both cars performing without a hitch. We stopped for a break and cooked some hot dogs for lunch along the shore of great Sacandaga lake in the Souther Adirondacks, up on a shaded sandy bluff above a bunch of boaters.

We got home here cleaned up and headed out for dinner. We arrived to a strong smell of gas in my garage. Investigation found a pine hole leak in the bottom of my tank and a gas puddle spreading on my parking pad.

Pulled the drain plug, and drained the tank, of course we had filled up pnly 70 miles before hand so the tank was only about 3 gallons shy of full. found a hole, plugged it temp with a sheet metal screw some jb weld and a bit of gasket material as a washer.

Will investigate fully tomorrow. Not looking forward to pulling the tanks and will try hard to address it externally.

Like a wise man once said if yer gonna have a thing like that ya gotta learn to mechanic on em yerself.

Mark and Dennis will leave for Columbus Ohio early in the AM to try to get in as much distance in the cool morning.

Despite our trevails we had a fun trip and while we wouldn't necessarily repeat it tomorrow, perhaps in a month or so... Might eed to check out the milltown show in Mass coming up

Also, anybody up for the Newport hillclimb in early October in Newport Indiana? Thinking on it.

Mark, with the gas tank deal I did not have time to look for the genny, but it on the agenda for tomorrow.

Ya know, now that you mention it, I thought I noticed gas fumes when we where sitting in the lot on Saturday, but with a pile of old cars surrounding you, there was a one in one hundred chance it was yours... Break out the quiksteel, it worked for me.

Here's the Milltown info... AUG 5/6 - PALMER, MA - 4TH ANNUAL - PRE 67 CARS - ROCKABILLY, TATTOOS, FOOD, GIRLS, BOOZE.... 3PM FRI to 2PM SUN - INFO @ 413-627-0834. Sorry to say but I won't be able to make it to that show. Family reunions in Maine that weekend, and it's the start of a much needed week of vacation for me and the wife...

Let me know when that genny hits the USPS. The old ones coming out tomorrow night in preparation for the transplant.

Indiana has hills big enough to climb?

That might be doable. Tell us more about it.

to say that we had a event filled week is and understatement as misery reared its ugly head again. Mark and Denis were up early and ready to e on the road early. So we led them to US route 20 and headed them west. We pulled onto the road behind them and were going to catch up as my wife Wondered if Mark had retrieved his shirt from the dryer. Before that happened, I noticed some fluid comming out from the underside of the engine compartment, and Mark was in the process of pullig off the road. I thought may a lower rad hose, but the fluid was oil. The source was a small hole in the oil pan.

Lokes like something dislodged and was shot through the side. Our guess is one of the rod cap nuts came loose as the hole is square edged. So another tow call, and we parked the car i the driveway and discussed options. Mark finally settled on renting a U Haul truck and trailer. We got them loaded up and on ther road west at about 11:15.

Mark deserves the patience of Jobe award. in addition tot he ones he garnered at the WPC NATIONAL meet.

Here are some pics of a fellows Imperial collection (5) plus the T&C vert, the Plyouth roadster belogs to a neighbor.

The rest of the pics are just some shots of the rest of the cars at the show.

Yesterday my wife Lisa traveled from Columbus to Buffalo. I told her to be on the lookout for a blue P-15 close in color to my car and if she spotted it I sent her Marks cell number so she could call him. Lisa and Mark have met a couple of times. She told me she did not spot it and now I know why. Sorry to hear of the rod nut issue. Lost nut beats a rod through the side of the block. Did oil pressure drop?

No loss of OP, didn't loose a lot of oil, and didn't make a lot of noise. He says he has a short block he can finish and swap in, then have the other one rebuilt. He was a bit bummed by the situation especially after yesterdays trouble free 300+ miles. Hopefully he will shake it off.

After all he is the leader of Team Chaos, Have P15's, Will Travel (ever forward)

Did you see the reference to a possible Indiana trip in the fall???

I was at the WPC meet in Vermont with Mark and Greg G.

The car next to the '39 is a 1937 Dodge Coupe with rumble seat. The color is Aviator Blue. The car came down from Canada.

We had a great time at the meet!

Greg, you did a great job reporting on the WPC Meet in St. Johnsbury, VT. The pictures and your commentary were "spot on". Thanks for sharing the event with everyone. I had a great time catching up with you, Mark, and his two sons.

Enjoyed meeting Mark (My48Ruby) who has a great looking P-15.

Thanks again,

Steve has been reading but nt saying much since we qued him to this forum back in 05 in Killington Vt. Steve owns the blue P15 Special Deluxe Bus Cpe, pictured to the left in the 3 car pics. Steve won the Plymouth Best of Show Award for his very nice example of P15ism. We just gotta get him to drive it more and post his experiences.

Thanks for you support. Did Jim have any reaction???

1 if by land 2 if by sea, don't follow Jim in the orange Volareeeeee!

despite the mechanical issues, which quite a few cars had as well as Mark's we had a great time with an interesting group of characters.

Steve check you Personal messages I'm looking for some WPC info.
