  1. I always enjoy seeing the forum members at the POC meets. Everyone seems to get along so well. We got home about 11:30am but we had a short trip compared to a lot of people.
  2. Welcome to the forum from another Michigan member.
  3. I hope not since I rebuilt the engine last fall and have only 500 miles on it.
  4. Greg, I,m still driving the red Barracuda I bought in 2008. I'll have that at the POC meet. I hope I can still be included in the outlaw group. My P-15 coupe ended up in Minnesota. I'll be bringing some P-15 parts for the swap meet in Port Huron.
  5. I got a room at the host hotel today, they must have had cancelations. Friday they said there were no rooms available at the Plymouth Club rate.
  6. I had my 1948 Plymouth convertible to Plymouth Mass in 1993 and to Plymouth Michigan in 1998.
  7. We got to Alabama on Thursday. Where's the warm weather? We saw snow along the roads, we thought we left that back in Michigan. JohnS
  8. We'll miss you Ed. I plan on being there. JohnS
  9. Thanks for the link, it's just what I need to make for my 1965 Barracuda dash gauges. JohnS
  10. There's an article in Hemmings Classic Car about a 51 Windsor that might interest you. It's the Feb 2014 issue that just came out. It shows interior and exterior pictures along with pictures of the engine compartment. JohnS
  11. Excellent article on a beautiful car, I read it yesterday. JohnS
  12. I used a Testors paint pen. It's a felt tipped pen with enamel paint in it. You paint the letters with the pen then use a q-tip with solvent on it to clean up the edges. JohnS
  13. I can't make Hershey this year. I put all my parts money into a rebuilt engine for the Barracuda. maybe next year. JohnS
  14. Ed, You'd better get that overdrive ready so you can come to the Port Huron meet next year. JohnS
  15. In 2000 my brother and I drove to Rapid City, South Dakota from Battle Creek,Michigan to the POC national meet. JohnS
  16. I put a Rhode Island harness in a 33 Plymouth coupe and in both of my 48 Plymouths. The terminals were well marked , all of the terminals were correct, and they were easy to install. I would use them again although they were a little pricy. Last year I helped a friend put a harness in a 38 Chrysler. It was from another harness company. The terminals weren't marked, the wiring diagram was not correct and it was very difficult to install but he did save money. I'll stick with Rhode Island.JohnS
  17. I have a friend with a 1940 Plymouth Delivery that has a two barrel on the stock manifold. He got an adapter from Tom Langdon. Tom has performance equipment for sixes. The adapter uses a ford carburetor and is easy to install. JohnS
  18. Here in Michigan there are very few non ethanol gas ststions. Almost every station has 10% ethanol or diesel. The few places that have non ethanol are airports and marinas that won't put it in a car. So I run everything on ethanol. JohnS
  19. Hope the Tigert go all the way to the series. JohnS
  20. Hey Kirby, your car looks a lot different than the last time i saw it in 2011. Maybe I can get a ride if we ever get back to Myrtle Beach. JohnS
  21. Is anyone going to the Street Rod Nationals North In Kalamazoo MI this weekend? I'll be there on saturday. JohnS
  22. Has a nice article on the P-15 station wagon. JohnS
  23. I've had Hagerty for years. They allow for occasional pleasure driving which would include your trip to breakfast, Several years ago a girl on a cell phone rear ended my P-15 coupe with her Pontiac. Hagerty was very easy to deal with, I took it to the body shop of my choice, and they sent a check for the full estimate within a week. A friend of mine had his Corvette in an accident and after it was painted the body shop found some things that needed repair that weren't on the original estimate and Hagerty paid for them too. So i'm happy with Hagerty after trying JC taylor and Grundy. JohnS
  24. My first car was a 1965 Dodge Coronet 440 station wagon. It was a dark red color, my dad had bought it new in 65. I saved my money from my job at an ice cream store and put chrome reverse wheels on it that I bought for $15 each at Sears. Then I raised the rear with helper springs and put a single glasspack on the 318. I wish I had a picture of it to post. JohnS
  25. You have that coupe looking good. Sounds like you had a nice day. JohnS
