  1. Merle, Is that the host hotel? My application said the host hotel was a Clarion and that looks like a Holiday Inn. I'm coming to the swap meet friday and I want to be in the right place. JohnS
  2. I'll be there on friday at the swap meet selling parts. and saturday for the show. I live about 15 miles from Kalamazoo. Gilmore car museum is north of Kalamazoo about 15 miles or so. It's one of the best auto museums in the U.S. in my opinion. JohnS
  3. My brother and I drove a 48 P-15 convertible to the 2000 POC meet in Rapid City SD. We met 4 cars from the east coast and took several days driving from Michigan. We drove to Mt Rushmore and the car never had any trouble with hills. It had a stock engine with a 3 speed overdrive transmission. JohnS

  5. sold my P-15 coupe several years ago but I still come to the forum. Someday I hope to have another coupe. Remember you are always welcome here with or without an old Plymouth. JohnS

  8. I had a r10 overdrive in my 48 coupe and that averaged 21.7 on a trip to Vermont. Overdrive is the way to go with these old Plymouths. Johns
  9. I was there on saturday. I was driving my red 1965 Barracuda. I saw the 41 plymouth it was a very nice car. Two other shows are the WPC national meet in Kalamazoo,July 11 to July 14 and the Mopars at the Red Barns at Gilmore Car Museum July 28. I should be at both of those. JohnS

  16. Greg, the trip from Sarnia, Ontario to Kalamazoo is about 3 hours or about 190 miles. That is diving I-69 to I-94 then west to Kalamazoo. JohnS

  21. The 40 delivery that my friend has is missing the outside spare and cradle. Everything else seems original except he installed a later engine with a powerflite transmission. The engine has a dual exhaust and 2 barrel carburetor. JohnS
  22. I have a friend here in town with a 40 panel delivery that is almost the same color but doesn't have the outside spare. JohnS
  23. someone told me to use acetone to clean off the paint. I never tried it but if you have some try it on a corner of the emblem and see what it does. JohnS
  24. I just put patches on the front doors of my brothers 94 Acclaim last week. The bottom of the passengers door was mostly gone. The car only has 64,000 miles on it. The salt here in western Michigan gets put down heavy in January and February. JohnS
