  1. I had these cables made to order by a local battery shop about 10 years back. Price wasn't bad ~ $40.00, as I recall.They are the proper length and heavy gauge as mentioned by Young Ed...Could have had both cables in black, I chose red for the positive cable - just in case of a senior's moment. LOL
  2. Nice car,good photos, noticed your battery jumper cables - originally it would have been wired for positive ground.
  3. Without meaning to hijack this thread on the much discussed vapour lock and fuel percolation and flooding problem ; it is interesting to note that Chrysler used a drain on the intake back in the thirties. The manifold drain was located in the intake at the base of the carburetor with a check valve and drain tube that extended down along the inside fender allowing any fuel that may puddle in the intake at shutdown to drain onto the ground. I think 1936 was possibly the last year Chrysler used this...A bit of trivia.

  10. Hi fedoragent, You may have seen posts by this forum member, veterantechnic Worthwhile viewing - a standard of workmanship we could only hope to achieve or at the least be affordable to the average guy.

  12. - While I have confidence in my old stock Dodge making a trip without a serious mechanical failure,if the trip is more than say 50 miles from home my wife will always have "more pressing things to do" .

  18. Replacing the coolant with a 50/50 mix ,(water and antifreeze), is probably a good idea....Come to think of it, I guess we haven't heard from Dezeldoc on the forum for some time and I hope all is well .
  19. Tatback,I haven't the need to true up the mating surfaces on a carburetor,however I would suggest using a figure eight pattern when sanding.
