  7. had same problem with air leak with carb to manifold gasket. cant seem to find metal/felt gasket. made new one with felt/ copper /felt sammich gasket. no air leaks

  13. yup we did. got me a Kens Tool G17 dogbone did the trick 20 bucks 8 different sq head sizes on this. A must have for you tool junkies not recommended for Fido
  14. that thing is a total "turtle" and lowered! Its got promise. for sure points plugs condensor. match cap with distributor. ID plate might be underneath dizzy your at the right place for help. good luck
  15. I seen that 49 for 40K. Rotisserie restore. Ok cute, mueseum **** thats fine what fun is it if you dont scrape a few knuckles and get greasy? Hot rod all you want, I mean thats great and all. Everyone has a reason they were attracted to these clunkers. for me when I got passed off to my grandfolk as a kid from summer break gramps was a traveling salesman to the dairy industry selingl feed supplements. (whoa here comes a calf!). cruising with him in his old mopars on a warm summer day..spending time with Gramps drew me to these old cars and the memory of him. 60 years later the memories are still there?

  17. I learned you can replace tubes all day. but you have to replace buffers/capcacitors/resistors if your repair is complete. I can solder all day but that above my paygrade. If you are up to the task my hats off to you. If you can find someone locally all the better. there are shops out there you can find on line. I wasnt interested in bluetooth or alien seeking shortwave. just AM I shipped mine off to Daves Antique Radio
  18. Listen to Sam and DJK (and the rest of the pureists, to which I am one) the conversion will keep you constantatly chasing problems I like the 6v alternator you got bigger fish to fry
  19. first of all you cant weld that garbage. and a good bolt up is more secure
  20. Well there you have it. Wide whites are pretty and are great for show or the blue highways. when I went radial they got mounted on a modern wheel.
