  1. Ive been up down all around with the axle swap thing For me makes more sense to have something made new for the same price of a junkyard axle swap. (what are you getting? its in a junkyard ) Those of you that can bolt up a cherokee rear axle , fine. You guys with the nice garages and shops . great. I hate you
  2. Dude what a journey! Thanks for taking us along for the ride..my fingernails got greasy just reading all this. Keep up the great work
  3. Choke cable under hood
  4. this is a B&B on a 218 A D6 (?)
  5. God I love that car.
  6. Under dash to the right of steering column was my best fit. Make sure your bends have nice sweeping radius as to not kink. Secure cable to firewall loosely. Dont screw up your dashboard
  7. this has been a good topic. 10/30 has alway been my drink of choice. But now (thanks to this discussion) Im rethinkinking oil choice. Booger doesnt play in the snow..-10 F (no) and freeway speed often surpass 3000K rpmz. (yes). So 40 weight (which was a standard way back when) seems to be a logical choice. Is a 20w-50 oil too tricked out for flatties? Flatties not fattys. ( your honor I am guilty as charged)
  8. wow straight bolt up? Have not seen that. me like
  9. He shoots....He scores!
  10. Hemmings was once my Sears Xmas catalog. Now its become the trade paper of the elitest concours auctioneers. I dunno. 35K for a VW bus? renew presciption or bird cage liner? Very little Mopar content. #bummed
  11. All good repllies. Non detergent 30 W was the drink of choice 50 yrs ago. Modern multis detergents are the smart choice. I recently dropped the pan on Booger to extract what goo was in there (very little) now the oil is so freekin clean I can barely see it on the dipstick. Thats a nice looking power plant, Frito
  12. Feliz Ano Nuevo
  13. My guess is theres something floating around in that carb o a jet clogged. Time for a rebuild kit for carb and proper settings. Thats all worthless unless you put an line gas filter
  14. Happy New Year to all and heres to all the contibutors and moderators who dig this site. quick shout out to Keith, Sniper, Loren and Plymmie. Cheers
  15. At some point generator will flatline. will look further into that upgrade, still not willing to 12v or electronics. gracias
  16. There will be a 'pop quiz" later. Hey the dog ate my homework. Jeez this place would be lost with out you. Qualitypowerauto.com has a 6v + grnd alt reconfigired out of a Delco10SI. Would you endorse such a swap? Feliz Ano nuevo
  17. the round little dashboard knob? the vacuum swicth is on/off I would assume is constant to the wiper motor as it is with carb and dist advance. That should be a ez find at the good salvage yards.
  18. Yeah no doubt! I have a 10 bolt 3.54 pumpkin that I wanted to swap out the 11 bolt 3.71 pumpkin. (duh that wont work) Is it possible to Franken-gear those ring and pinion gears?
  19. ouch. the one that got away...given you had the room on the back 40 that thing would part out for 5 gr. hell motor alone would have gotten you a thou.I let my Hemmings prescription go. Very few Mopars in there and Im not interested in buying an over valued old Porsche
  20. I hear good and bad about pertronix here. Someday I just might. What do you recommend (item number etc) How does a stoopid little thing like a condensor leave you dead in the water. Cuz it can. (after all these years first thing I change is condensor)
  21. I get ads with women with large stuff. I dont have a problem with that
  22. Dont hand me your baby. I drop everything
