That is an ME-109 and the U.S. used horses and mules throughout WW2.

There is a poem written by one of Merrill's Marauders were he laments having to eat their mules to survive.

Guess that it is good that they can do that as that is how most run regularly!

Not much power but it moves the car as good as most older fords! :P

Woodstock! I think that is Plymouthy in the tree. 

Were any of you there, I would have but I was in the inner lane and missed the exit!

East coast, USS James K. Polk SSBN 645.  Ballistic missile sub was home ported in New London Ct while operating out of Rota Spain. Then went to shipyard in Newport News VA for 2 year overhaul and then home port changed to Charleston SC with patrols out of Holy Lock Scotland. Seven years, 5 patrols. Was an electrical operator on the nuclear power plant and eventually Engineering Watch Supervisor.  Final rate was IC1 (SS).

Oh . . . Nuclear subs boil water. Don't they?

I just never ever thought of them as Steam Ships. LOL
