Now that's a 6 cylinder.

I recall trying to work out how the crank and valve mechanism would have to work on those and, if I recall correctly, came to the conclusion that a radial engine pretty much had to have an odd number of cylinders. And all the photos or written descriptions I've seen of radial engines seemed to have an odd number of cylinders.

So, has anyone got a photo or documentation on a 6 cylinder radial engine? (Or maybe we are referring to different photos in that posting.)

Yes, all radial and rotary (think WW1 not Wankel

) aircraft engines have odd numbers of cylinders because of the rod arrangement. There is a master rod and all the other rods are offset on the master rod. The cams are unique looking, just a large ring with lumps around the outer edge.

We have several of these at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome.

This weekend is the last show of the year by the way.

The oldest arc-welded structure known in California is this spiral stair in Moaning Cavern. I've been down it a couple times.

Ya don't step on Batman's cape, but this cape sure makes it hard to drive without funny looks from the public.

that truck is too good for PP...he would have to burn it and let it sit in the rain with the residue of a building ashes and all (every wonder where lye comes from) just to get some patina...

Hey, I remember the Green Monster! Did that car run in SoCal or Bonneville?

Someone (Breedlove?) eclipsed the GM's run in short order as I recall.

The motorcycle reminds me of the infamous Uni-sulky, but it's missing a rider (which would often be typical of a Uni-sulky as well.)
