Young Ed Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 When did need have anything to do with it?!If you don't get it, tell me more about the hemi. Gene I apparently didn't take a picture of either it or the car. I'm thinking it was a 54 desoto. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 Is it the same as a pickup bumper? I don't have my parts catalog handy to check. If it is, or it it would work, I'm interested in it. Merle Quote
Dave72dt Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 Merle, the bumper has a step built into it so it's different than the pickup and it looks like it wraps around the rear of the panel body, maybe farther than the pickup does. Mark, is that a new acronym (TODD)? I missed it if previously mentioned. Extended roof project? Part of PHTD? Quote

TODD is the name of PHTD project truck (when I start)...kinda a play on Turbo Diesel...but more of a name than an acronym. Quote
Dave72dt Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 That should be very popular build. An extended/crewcab diesel powered PH! Major cut and weld. Quote
pflaming Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 When I started with this project I was too curious and not too careful so that I have lost the internal parts of one windshield mount for a '52. I have a complete 48 mount but it is different. Does anyone have such. The one little washer fits into the sleave of the upper part (green arrow) it is a complicated little part with ridges on the rim. A pm on this would be appreciated. Quote
Dave72dt Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 Mark, I went back and looked at one of the last pics of the panel. The roof didn't look to bad until they used the boom to lift the panel off the ground. The front 3/4 is probably useable though. Quote
48Dodger Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 Hey Mark, How much for the bumper....my panel doesn't have one. I know shipping would be rough, but might be interested if it does have a special step in it to make it a "panel only" kinda deal. 48D Quote
ggdad1951 Posted October 24, 2012 Author Report Posted October 24, 2012 (edited) looking for $100 + shipping for it. had to apy them to lift and torch off. I'll PM him ONE more time, if no answer in a week it's open season on it. Edited October 24, 2012 by ggdad1951 Quote

ggdad1951 Posted November 12, 2012 Author Report Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) Alright, have heard ZERO from the party that was interested....so I open the rear bumper to anyone interested. PM if you are interested. Edited November 12, 2012 by ggdad1951 Quote
ggdad1951 Posted August 17, 2013 Author Report Posted August 17, 2013 (edited) Well went back to Windy Hill today and scored pretty good. My haul: Door and roof section for TODD project air filter Misc small parts. The air horns and the one door handle will go on the TODD project And let the drooling begin: a complete set of grill bars for a 48-50 and parts from a 51-53. The 48-50 I only one clip broke off an 2 studs sheared. Edited August 17, 2013 by ggdad1951 Quote

Went back today and that mirror arm had rust holes in it. Was stuck on there pretty good too so I didn't grab it. Quote

Fish or cut bait.....hate to see you loose that grill.. Well Tim it was a battle but I didn't loose the war. Here's how it looked right before I got that piece off. The upper pieces all actually broke or came apart fairly easily. They were small carriage bolts with nuts. However the very bottom one that faces down was a 1/4 in faster into a captive nut. I had to dig a small hole then the phillips screw head stripped out. So I took the whole grill apart to get access and chiseled away. I mangled the bottom slightly but no one sees it when installed anyway.... whew Quote
Young Ed Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 Found these handsome fellows too but the one was completely stripped and the other they are trying to sell whole. Darn there were some good pieces on the complete one. Quote
