Don Coatney Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 If I had a cow to catch I would buy this. Quote
dezeldoc Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Thanks, now i went and threw up on my keyboard!! He needs to be hung by nu** for ruining that car! Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 I guess you could give the guy some credit for original thinking, even if it's uuugggllly. I personally don't much like the look with black rims and blackwall tires. Overall just too much black on this car....looks pretty sinister. (my .002) What are those headlights from...........they don't look so bad. Quote
Dan Hiebert Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Seems he was going for an old steam locomotive look. It does look "sinister", which could be his whole intent, but I otherwise don't care for it myself. I used a 67 Fairlane SW as a cow catcher a long time ago (not on purpose) and I didn't need any modifications. Quote
Young Ed Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 They look like 39 ford or possibly 39 desoto. I'd suspect the ford because they should be much easier to find. Quote
desoto1939 Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 They look like 39 ford or possibly 39 desoto. I'd suspect the ford because they should be much easier to find. I looked at the pictures of the car and these are not 39 Desoto headlight trim. The 39 Desoto is more retangular. As someone else stated they are probably ford. Attached is a picture of the fron of my 39 Desoto. rich Hartung desoto1939@aol.com Quote
Young Ed Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 39 ford found on google. looks close. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 His ad says 39 Ford. Hmmm.....that's what we get for just looking at the pictures and not reading the info. Quote
Frank Elder Posted January 19, 2012 Author Report Posted January 19, 2012 And then it just gets worse....... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Hot-Rod-Rat-Rod-1947-Custom-Dodge-/140685180317?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item20c17d7d9d What do these people have against D-24s???????? Quote

JIPJOBXX Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Yes it is kind of different looking but it does have a style of it own! Just like this one does! Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 that car is afflicted..needs crushed..just to get it out of its own misery..save the side glass..can mix bondo on it... Quote
Uncle-Pekka Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 ..save the side glass..can mix bondo on it... Come on - enough is enough! Look at the poor car... NO MORE BONDO, please Quote
austinsailor Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 That gold pos is oozing more bondo than I've ever used! But then. ..... notice his house. What else can you say? But the Dodge is a surprise. It's right in my backyard, surprised I never saw it. I would have thought it would have shown up in a cruise in or something. Believe me, if it was close I would have noticed it! But - why would you take a perfectly good coupe and cut the top off???? Quote
dezeldoc Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Yes it is kind of different looking but it does have a style of it own! Just like this one does! Did you really have to go and dig this dam* thing up, I'm with Tim flatten her out!! Quote
Roadkingcoupe Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Looks like a seller can not dictate the future use/treatment of a vehicle after it is sold. Quote
JIPJOBXX Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Maybe someone wants the drivetrain but the rest I think is ready for the old bone yard. Quote
