Texas A&M maybe...

Totally absent minded

Looks to me like you are right about Texas A&M http://www.lids.com/NCAA/Texas-A-M-Aggies/20115911

I don't keep up with clothing style trends (I leave that to my wife) but I was under the impression that wearing a feed/baseball cap backwards was out of fashion and only the dolts left behind still did it.

I wonder if it is the current generation of kids growing up?

all you have to do is watch 5 minutes of any of the jackass movies to answer that question.

when I see a hat worn in that fashion something inside my mind kinka grinds and I feel like I should reach out and quick snap the head to match the bill of the cap..might be one of the reason punk kids and I don't get along so well..now ask me if I am really concerned about that last statement..

I'm told by my 6 yr old nephew that the "older" guys (8-10) deem it high fashion:(

The guy pictured missed the mark by a decade or two!!!

..Well now,Tim -That might fall well in line with Darwin's theory..;)

This might help explain it...

I believe the hat-on-backwards IS out of fashion. It's especially painful to see a grown man with one. What I see a lot of now is the hat with a flat brim that still has the sticker from the store attached. The brim is usually worn a little off to the side. The mouth of the wearer is usually slightly open in a somewhat stunned, dazed expression. Tattoos are usually present on this particular specimen.

Forty years ago the only guys who wore the hats backward were the ones who rode motorcycles. It kept the hat from blowing away. I can handle that. Everyone else looks like an idiot.

My nephew came ove to my house one afternoon looing like that except with the baggy pants and hat on sideways. I looked him straight in the eye and asked ......"do you have mirrors in your house and do you know just how stupid you look"...and he's 26 yrs old.......and you wonder why you can't find a job.

As long as we are totally off the topic of cars....

It seems that "hat" and "cap" are being used interchangeably in this thread. From the Merriam-Webster web site we have:

Cap:

a : a head covering especially with a visor and no brim

Hat:

: a covering for the head usually having a shaped crown and brim

Wearing a hat backwards makes absolutely no sense. Even on a motorcycle.

Wearing a cap backwards could be useful for a motorcyclists.

I hope the guy in the original photo never wears a helmet while riding a motor cycle. I can picture him wearing a welders mask backwards too or maybe a catchers mask. :D

Recently around this part of Virginia, the trend is to wear your hat in a correct manner with your sunglasses on the bill of the cap.

Here in Tennessee I spotted a guy wearing his cap bill forward but his sun glasses were on the back of his head. Guess he had a real glare problem with the hair on the back of his head.
