Jim Shepard, Tim Estrada and I had heard about this junkyard that was full of old Dodge trucks. We finally we able to visit it this weekend.

Brian's Salvage

2580 Green Island Rd

American Canyon, CA

I have posted all of the pictures taken today on the gallery. I think they will speak for what a treasure house of old Mopars this place is:

Glad to hear you guys made it over there! This is a place time has surely forgotten, right in the middle of the bay area.

Did you come back with any flea bites? I was all bitten up on my legs the next day after I was there in August.

I also remember some interesting graffitti there...

Never seen such a good representation of the 39-47 series. They have 39s 40s, 41-42s, and 46-47s. Maybe even one blackout. At least one CA special with the low lights. And lots of other neat stuff too.

Gotta tip my hat to John-T-53, he found it for us and boy,.....did that place deliver!!! Every turn of head yield another dodge truck. I gave the owner 5 bucks just for letting me in..lol. His wife was funny, kdding me and the guys for being such truck nuts. Guess the man has been a dodge fan for a looong time. I found late 60's A bodies, B bodies and C bodies hidden under and over every truck.

Hey Don, I was looking for parts for the BBQ!!! I put the BBQ cab on a rolling frame and have begun the task of filling out the trim. Found short running boards and a bunch of other things I'll be picking up for the rig. There were a few Dodge and Plymouth cars, and a pair of Chrysler Limo's too.

These are Brian's work trucks. No....really....he does all the work around the yard with these trucks. The last picture is of one he is using, but needed some work done.

A good picture of Bob, asking himself "...why? why were you forgotten?..."

These cabs were all on frames and "hidden" behind the main area. We had to squeeze through a couple piles to get there.

Tim - I have to pass on that hat tippin' to my buddy Steve who's ambulance station is nearby. He took a pic of the entrance one day and sent it to me, which led to a phone call and a trip up there. You guys got some good pics and I see there's some hidden spots I didn't get to. I'll have to see if I can get a rear end from the selection of A bodies up there...

I had my eye on some dash parts in that tandem axle but at the time there was a huge wasp nest hanging from the cab roof!!

Very interesting place . What is the owners policy , does he usually let people in to pull their own parts ? Or is it more conventional where he pulls the parts while you wait ? And tell us about the fleas as mentioned earlier , if I get a flea bite , it bothers me for 2 months . The owner must be a character to have a stash like that .

Jim asked about a 2 bbl carb air cleaner...the guy walked him over to one of the many small buildings and returned with one....the deal went down and Jim had his part. I asked about a headlight and couldn't get him out of his chair...he was reading the paper....kept pointing down the yard telling me where they are...lol...they're pulling them and I'll be back to get them.

They're about 4 or 5 german shepards who watch the yard...soooo...lots of landminds, and in the summer, I bet a lot of fleas. Didnt see or feel any this trip.

Which year is that first orange truck pic?

41-42 with special low headlights for CA

What size was the 40 Dodge on the left with the roadster looking windshield?

Reg you reckon that was a firetruck when new? I'd guess it started out as a cowl and chassis unit.

That would be my guess Ed. Maybe one of the Three Amigos will chime in.

Ya Reg....it was one of two fire trucks there.
