greg g Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 I ve got these pics, but This one is a Desoto. It was at a MOPAR show in PA. That one had wooden load surfaces instead of the carpet this one seems to have. Quote
moose Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 Man, that is nice. It's giving me ideas... Quote
oldodge41 Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 I have seen one also. Can't remember where but the wood made an impression. Quote
Frank Elder Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 I think those roof racks are real nice:) Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 One is for sale- same color in Oregon. A nice car on Craigs list. He has not been able to sell it. http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/2134534821.html Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 8, 2011 Author Report Posted January 8, 2011 Not really priced all that bad......$5000 or best offer........looks fairly nice, but seller says it needs some work. They want $18,000 buy it now on the firsrt one. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 8, 2011 Author Report Posted January 8, 2011 They have this 50 (?) Chrysler two door hardtop in the "field of cars" we went to look at a couple weeks ago. Needs quite a bit of work, but the price is right. The steering wheel wasn't very good on it....... Quote
RobertKB Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 I don't think $18,000 for the first one is terrible considering what it would cost to restore it. It is rare and I would think collectible but unfortunately outta my price range or I would be interested. I would also have to add to my garage and pay for a divorce! Quote
48P15Annie Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 A 48 Traveler just poped up on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1948-Chyrsler-Traveler-Town-and-Country-Roof-Rack-/110634380994?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item19c252aec2 Quote
DonaldSmith Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 It's got a roof rack, but not a fold-down rear seat. Is it really a Traveler? Quote
greg g Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 perhaps the fold down seatd did not appear until 49. thee are several similar cars on the web with a similar interior, with the fold down arm rest but no folding seat. Quote
48P15Annie Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Is the 40 Plymouth true? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VERY-RARE-STEEL-BODIED-PLYMOUTH-SUBURBAN-/220723324941?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item336422a80d True or not...cool car! Quote
Young Ed Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Looks like someone got creative with some oak and boat seats. Still a neat looking ride. Quote
