  1. Vic recommended using 3m high strength 90 for “Jute to mat” to me https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/cbgnawus1408/ Before he had the jute material available, I bought just the mat and laid it loose. the floor bolts punched right through the mat under the drivers foot.... Julie tells me I have a “heavy foot”. LOL, guess she is right ?
  2. Shoot, I don’t have the fancy sound dampening kit but, I bought a floor mat from Vic it came with the “jute” material ? https://vicsdodgegarage.com/product/48-53-dodge-1-2-ton-truck-pyramid-laser-cut-floor-mat/
  3. I have one interior from “Pilot House interiors” (no longer in business) and two interiors from “Vic’s Dodge garage” but, if I do the one for “Jimbob” I am gonna try Quite Ride
  4. Congrats Oliver! Looks like a great truck from here? From the rear fenders, I would have guess it a 51 or 52 enjoy! And keep on truckin brent
  5. And bring some tools Dodgeed! You never know what I’ll bring……and it usually needs working on ?
  6. LOL, Geez Merle, as close as Mark is to WI..... if it were me, I would have drove across and picked one up and mailed it (Like I did for my WA neighbors) is he not allowed in the state? ?
  7. LOL, of course it is, I see it now ? I thought it was either a passenger foot rest or your vented lunch box. So glad your clutch pedal rubs on the floor boards also... I picked up a bushing set for mine but, haven’t installed it yet
  8. What is left from the “49 carcass”? Does it have the plumbing and shift switch?
  9. Thanks for geeking out with me Wally! ? I do like your set up, mine isn’t self contained what is the “box” looking device on the passenger side floor, used as a PTO stop?
  10. smart on making it 9’6” ”Jimbob” is 9’ exact and the mud flaps rub the tires and and interfere with the brake lights
  11. Nice job Wally! ? now let’s see some YouTube dump bed action or a 2speed tutorial with the truck! I only have high/ low in my “HH” and my 2speed cable is being rebuilt for “Jimbob”
  12. And of course Minnesota! ?
  13. Cool! Hard to tell by the photo.... 10’ or 12’? Are you gonna have to modify for your build? The flatbed on my one ton is about 3” more narrow than the 1.5 ton from outside wheels.....
  14. Welcome Matt! Looks like a 51 or 52 to me..... have fun with it Lol, I didn’t recognize Scotland without it raining ?
  15. Does this help?
  16. Grandkids are awesome! Have 3 granddaughters myself…. A word of caution though, hard to get the two worlds of playing dolls with them and working on trucks, together sometimes… LOL
  17. Nope, same as Merle…. I just ran the fill neck between the recoil and the stationary ?
  18. If you can, pull it over a scale to give the next guy a clue (should the question come up again)
  19. I put the buckle side a little further apart than Merle did consequently, it put the drivers side buckle attaching bolt, poking out underneath over the gas tank…. I took about 1/2”’off and I feel a lot better about it And just to bring up the obvious….. make sure any “burs”, weld splatter or sharp edges are filed down where the belt might rub. (hi Merle ?)
  20. My B4D and B4GA has floating rear brakes shoes the GA has single bore cylinders (I don’t remember the cylinders in the D ?)
  21. Sent one from Oregon…. also grabbed one from the great state of Washington when we had a lay over to Michigan and sent it. If it doesn’t count let me know and I’ll drive back up there and make Kevin mail one ?
  22. Visiting family in Michigan two weeks ago, I spotted this one near a family member’s house
  23. Picked some up from Vic for my 1/2 ton two weeks ago https://vicsdodgegarage.com/product/51-53-b-series-½-ton-radiator-hose-kit/
  24. You’d think so but, somehow the bracket on the drivers side was broken and I swapped it from the passenger side. yeah, I’m going down that “rabbit hole” to find what isn’t original but, it ticks me off I can’t find out any information on them ? I may just contact Grote and ask them. your right Wally, it is not the typical WC mirror I’ve seen and someone put a SS plate on the door. The lower bracket attachment is screwed together and then to the door LC, if you do get WC mirrors, I really like the 5-1/2” x 10” my B4D has My B3 (above) has 7”x 16-1/2”…. Looks right to me on a bigger truck. Just something to consider ?
  25. Not sure if this is a WC mirror or other, Been looking for a match to this one. Anyone familiar with brand or style? the mounting is different than the other trucks I have.
