  1. A 51-52 clip sort of fits but doesn't really look right. The A pillar for slimmer for 51/52s and causes a weird look at the cowl.
  2. I think the harder they are to free up the better they were when parked. Think about it- a bunch of worn parts have more clearance to get free. Nice tight parts can't handle it
  3. We had another couple over along with their two boys. We had appetizers for dinner/snacks and hung out until just after 12. The little one went to bed around 9 but the other 4 kids made it to 12. I made meatball sliders- yum!
  4. No neighbors were awakened but we did let the boys stay up until midnight with their buddies. We kicked them off video games just before midnight to watch the ball drop
  5. Yes the concept at the time was to put the reamer in the drill backwards and use it as it's own guide
  6. There was a thread on here a few years ago where this was brought up. I got a reamer and bushings off McMaster and was able to do a test carb. I loaned that carb out to someone local who was having issues but then it turned out his was a dist thing. So I can't say how good it works
  7. Or just remember to pull it out of OD... I personally don't use my OD around town just when I'm hitting the highway or freeway
  8. This is my P15 before I reinstalled my freshly painted dash.
  9. That should be a cable to turn off and on the water supply into the heater core(s). I'm blanking on how the knob is labeled though
  10. Sounds like you have the lock clocked wrong in the latch.
  11. Maybe post some tractor content in the off topic area. I've got this one waiting in the wings but it might squeak by enough to be in the truck forum
  12. Small dead blow hammer? Nut driver you can push with your whole hand? Wooden dowel to push to tap?
  13. I also saw where someone melted the goo out of the back of the Mopar unit and used it to hide the GM one.
  14. Another thought to consider is to pull the timing chain. Then you can turn the crank and cam separately and see what's going on
  15. The interesting thought to me is the 39 trucks don't. So were there so many complaints that it was brought back?
  16. The 41-47 trucks certainly have a hole in the grill for the hand crank
  17. I recently watched a video on YouTube where they were interviewing the former owner of that seized Tucker
  18. This has been in the works for a few years. I do think it's ridiculous that they are going down to this level. eBay had an email out about it a few weeks ago where you could email your representative to complain
  19. I like to hang car grills and dashes on my walls. My shop currently has a 47 Dodge truck dash, a P15 dash l, and a 94 Dakota grill. Along with lots of signs and random hubcaps.
  20. Get the engine turning over. No point in worrying about the cooling system yet. If you can't get it to turn the cooling system stuff would just be a waste of time and effort
  21. I did mine by pulling the two lower core plugs and then using a pressure washer behind the water pump. Lot of gunk came out. My alley looked like someone spilt a chili pot
  22. That motor looks right to me. The C or S for deluxe or special wasn't on the engine
  23. The good part of the overdrive is it lowers your final ratio for a higher top speed without sacrificing any acceleration. I would certainly grab it and inspect it. If the rebuilding just comes in for the 3 speed stuff vs the OD area I would think that would lower the price of parts.
  24. What about a wipe or spray on clear?
  25. The speedometer cable switched sides at some point I think in the early 50s. You should still be able to use it if needed and just adjust the cable. In my 48 for the OD I bought a short extension for the cable.
