  13. I made my own tools for the odd size parts, buried in the links at the top of the page, once you drill down, you can see some files. The top one might be of use. http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/know.htm
  14. we have a sticky up top to maybe help you navigate "search" a bit better.
  15. CA must be better about wider berth, I get cut off all the time when I am forced to drive on the big boy highways...and generally followed by a slam on the brakes....my vintage 1 ton truck will smash right over your little tinfoil Kia and I'll be dead all because they had to try and save 10 seconds on their drive. As for being lit at night, a recent run to a gathering that had me coming home after dark I almost got rear ended when I needed to turn left off a local 2 lane (all under a streetlight). One brake light, black box and at night has me thinking I won't be driving at night anymore with FEF, too many people speeding nad not paying attention to whats ahead of them vs. what's on the their little screens. And what I have is perfectly legal to drive.....
  16. it's 7'6" wide and 11'8" long....I want it to over hange the duals so it iwll be sectioned and parts moved around to make it 9'6" long x 8' + change wide The yard torched them all off, I likely will utilize a similar method to mount to the frame.
  17. thanks! no wood runners, there were plates welded to some large C channels, 40 bolts got torched off.
  18. Headed out to WIndy Hill yesterday to grab a bed frame for the project. After re-looking at the bed I had planned to grab, I chnaged my mind as to what I was going to bring home. The shear size, style and condition of the beds I was considering made me re-think what I was going to do, So my friend and I wandered arround the yard and came across the bed pictured below. I think it is an after market frame that looked to be on a Mopar frame (litterally all that was left was the bed and frame). Gettting it loaded onto the trailer the yard man on the forklift got a little happy with his power and ended up putting a tweak in the front rail of the frame (see red oval). Not happy about that, but too late now. I'm kinda diggin the corner cutouts for the lights and think that will look good. Also with the open frame all around I have good anchor points for straps.
  19. Well, the run yesterday didn't go as planned, at the yard I ended up changing my mind over which bed to grab as we found one that was likley an after market bed vs. what I was condisering as a factory frame. Weight, time and condition played heavily into looking at the frame I did bring home. I kinda like the look on this frame for the corners better that what I was seeing around the yard. I think this one is around 600 pounds. Check out the TODD build thread for a bit more details.
  20. He looks to be in great condition! Can't wait to see what you will do with him!
  21. Thanks all. Bringing my battery powered cutoff with literally every battery I have. Also taking my buddies truck and tandem trailer JIC for potential weight issues.
  22. Plan is to go to Windy Hill on Monday and pull a flatbed from a B2 1.5 ton. I can't find anything in the parts book for illustrations so I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how many bolts and where they are that hold the bed to the frame so I can prep for the trip? Also, any idea what it might weight?
  23. I believe I have a version of the industrial engine manual from 1950.
  24. I think I have a copy of the industrial engine manual around as well, I'll see if it is differing dates. Grade 8's are not good in certain applications where they need to be able to stretch and/or move with engine heat cycles, they are a bit more bittle and couldl crack and/or break. Right part for the right job.
