  1. You done good! SOOOO easy to want to overtighten and strip those bolts/screws to try and stop leaks/weeps.
  2. it will likely oxidize/patina a bit duller/greyer
  3. Nice! Just know it will never be as pretty as this again! 12 years later, even with a careful application of POR15 silver, FEF's engine (while still clean) is getting patina.
  4. don't forget the cutting oil!
  5. I'm on her hotline
  6. you have enough.... ?
  7. LOL, I should clarify that on trucks I've salvaged and owned. I think I was more worried about other things in your truck than the escutcheons! I wonder if there were regional differences? I've poked thru dozens of trucks around MN and surrounding states and never actually found any plastic ones whilst picking.
  8. Huh, I've never, ever seen the plastic ones on a truck, only the metal ones I described.
  9. B3 and B4 use the metal ones, they look like stacked metal cylinders. They are NOT the rubber/plastic ones.
  10. Had a few buds over last night for some suds and hung the fender extensions on to see how they look.
  11. Looking towards early fall/winter, I need to get my doors on TODD buttoned up before I lose access to a friends shop he is selling. On that note, what have you (if any) have converted to power windows? I am considering the two options below and am wondering if anyone has any thoughts. Generic "one size fits all" from a friends recommended vendor https://www.specialtypowerwindows.com/window-kits-street-rods-universal OR B series specific (supposedly) I found while poking the interwebs https://www.ebay.com/itm/274591474099?hash=item3feeed61b3&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3AAQAGAAADQJheiRW7caBcCofeLs%2FcNbUO8dbU4oGZ%2BRD2%2FZDCb6nF1Y50nJB%2F95YcsjDGmcIQEvey6jSrs8DIXZ57Zr2BHXh1UfXTS7SoXjA3nx82ZlclK0iSH7ilEMFfv00Y3HNDeGx2wXz9987KR4ekb3C8BmiGD7NOXR372Y6yxHg5NIF3K6A0UyGAnif6CILqY7vs3Z30%2FTx4q9ZUNqoTXfEtc01Q4wkqDnytEkW4PwH%2BKVWMV63qwhUg2imODjRPWSVPi277UsYoytYiQjenfHNTkxF66DocznCN%2FmR4ieEy3tmLwxer3dXsumkJsJnlFJEWq0z3WhHrw2FmkFYEzM%2Ba%2B6HOc57HvLktZkCZuZ5UrnE8QFX08IEVpgL1iH21KH%2B%2FbPF5rBiUV3yvJqqsV6MCwYOu2ODLZDFjBFBz9bDIE9MD1Ocm7Ckkz%2FnhdZRHC3CtbAckf%2F2hhUpElW93foZXftGvb4S%2FlIsEdRER3v69TCgjL%2FbbyUdnRPAeJYfLog1XON3LDhKzlcGwte7fKv6yUD8zvY2mk2LveQ9k9SUTCsNyLf0MEGXamHxIasr1e6Vk4Ce%2FHZAxn9fX%2FuGm9uq4vzRNiUEpF5dslI0qWWE8M6%2BV%2BzNZfE44R3ERSAiRWqrcQp3X%2FDpGW0YK9KrmURkU46QoL9dmg0eb0zTEIDg2qiUr5MOtebZzcm83RmFHMXLpy8GTlYn%2BSWWnGyJafG%2BGPIM4AEp6plm0bFID%2F5JDM4DsxI4p7FTuxnJ4I8JbPMjp3mUXcRa7g2jqZQUX1HM10rSFcl3GN%2FODfRzIp1iXClD%2FHjZ3Juc4113evuc4CbGgyVAhYChqdwNdtbN8uWv0bXsQK0keIc%2BxxIVKUVohGW2max9Y1jghWXKjPligxzlhQKwf3eHvIETS%2BiRfAnFrNpzbKjEK65LSNox4ie4KrRZQYs54pxGpeT5ds6K01GGYlNC7QNTFU0xmOyeYqhR7gY%2B%2FJ8%2B5EUf9OJ8enG8OXWhonLL8HrcIMQM7VtcQX4Q1A8%2FaPdALMN8M%2BaPCShIM%2BI%2FqIy8aiywUuMB44qr3M7wq95I42rBeNGLUqmYs4wXI%2BRK6FTUCgDlX8cU24vN%2BzQ4%3D|ampid%3APL_CLK I'm not to worried about harnesses and or switches as I have a specific plan for my switches.
  12. maybe he got a discount on the cab paint cost!
  13. Cab would be all one color interior and exterior. Beds were black unless you paid the $5 to make it the same color as the cab.
  14. VPW has them I believe tho
  15. the hook on those are 90 deg off
  16. I've found a few random SS grill bits painted and mixed in with carbon steel over the years. Those little clips are a nice "to have".
  17. I'd have to dig mine out to look...could also check PUMA's engine I guess later today.
  18. hindsight I wish I had popped for the $3 per at VPW....
  19. Whatever you do DON'T use the lollipop welting....drives me nutty....no way is that correct. For my build I used body caulk between the metal, but with the square fenders you do have the gap to fill.
  20. My opinions in order of pics: tall one rightmost grey one straight one no idea
  21. It is what it is. I got LOTS of cap for cutting up 2 cabs and now 8 (so far) doors to build TODD. You can't save them all and as long as they live on in some form I'm ok with that.
  22. Ok let me poke at it and get back to you, look for a PM.
