  1. Here's a set on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mopar-Door-Handle-Guards-1949-50-51-52-Dodge-Plymouth-Chrysler-NOS-ST310-/251174056748?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a7b23f32c
  2. You are right Jim. I think the box they were in said 49-52 Dodge and Plymouth. They fit almost like they were made for it .....but they weren't.
  3. I really like his spare tire location. Of course I'm the kind of guy that would also run with 53 car wheel covers.
  4. Huh..... He sells one for the drivers side and another for the passenger side.
  5. What's your address Karl ? I'll send you one from a parts carb. Reg
  6. Jon, Would you post a photo of your friends 42 Coupe. I'd love to see it.
  7. Make sure you re-torque the head bolts after you have warmed the engine up and cooled it back down. Otherwise you'll be changing the gasket again.
  8. My first car in 1966 was a 1933 Plymouth. I was drawn to old cars even then. I paid $225 for it which I guess was a tidy sum back then.
  9. That 50 looks too nice to part out. Where do you live ? I have a couple of 230's that would drop right in your '39. If you are too far from me (Northern Calif.)I'm sure you could locate a 230 closer to you.
  10. I've owned a couple of those. I use to haul my MF tractor to different job sites with one of them. I've gotten them, the big ones, out of my system now.
  11. Thanks for posting those photos. Seems like the bodies have been separated from the frames and running gear. It would be interesting to know why.
  12. Yes,I think so. I'm looking forward to seeing the pile of cars too. Do you have any photos you could post ?
  13. I just check map quest and it looks like a visit this trip isn't in the cards. We have 3 days to get there,2 to sight see,and 3 to get back home. Lisa's not retired yet.
  14. I'm just the Driver Ed so I'm not sure but I know we are going to also see a Mammoth site, the Devils Tower,The Crazy Horse Monument, and maybe go see where Custer last stood. Driving a big ole prairie schooner. Is all this on the western side ? My wife and Mo-in-law are the navigators.
  15. Glad to hear that. We are heading to SD on the 31st and I was only going to gaze at Mt. Rushmore.
  16. yes, the multi striped one on the left.
  17. I have this one but I'm not real keen on the idea of selling it. What's your offer?
  18. Paul, My 52 was built in the San Leandro plant in the South Bay area. Yours might have been too. http://www.t137.com/registry/help/decode.php Paste your vin # in this decoder below and let us know what you come up with. http://www.t137.com/registry/help/decode.php

  20. I'm just curious. Was the second coat applied at the same time of day and under the same weather conditions as the better first coat ?
  21. Hank, when ya gonna come up here and haul a couple yards of mine rock back to your place ? It's cheap and will break your bed right in.
  22. Paul, I too like the wide stance look. My rear tires measure 75" outside of tread to outside of tread. The fronts measure 65" with the same 15" tires and rims. I got my rears wider by using 1.5" thick spacers with built in studs. Found them on eBay similar to these. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1987-2006-Jeep-Wrangler-5-Lug-by-4-5-Blue-Wheel-Spacer-Kit-Pair-4x4-SUV-/270894012804?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2005%7CSubmodel%3AX&hash=item3f128a9984&vxp=mtr
