  1. Those rubber parts on the bumper look like the rubber tread parts that bolt onto a tank tread or an armored personnel carrier tread .
  2. If the yard isn't too far away , it might be a good idea to pay them a visit . Before you go though , ask if you are allowed inside to look around .
  3. If you thread in a short ( 3/8th inch ) stud with a hole centered , could you now drill a center hole in the old stud using the new stud hole as a guide ? Just a stab in the dark .
  4. Those on the cab of my truck are brass also , the cab is a 1939 dodge truck . I had always wondered if they were home made because of the brass .
  5. # 3 looks like a hinge for the swing out windshield .
  6. When you are ready to re-assemble , put a thin layer of grease on the seal so that you don't have dry seal to metal contact . It could wear out real quick otherwise before the gear oil gets to it .
  7. This is just a question , because I don't know . It sounds to me like you are talking about increasing the size of the combustion chamber . Doesn't this defeat the purpose of milling the head for greater compression ? If that is the case , why not mill the head only enough to be sure that it is flat .
  8. Reg , On the last sentence of the listing he says " the bumper is not included in the auction " so I guess he hasn't forgotten you after all .
  9. I bought one of the heads sold by Vintage Power Wagons and it has DT on it . Perhaps the letters stand for dodge truck .
  10. Here we have a store that sells mostly just bearings , anything under bearings in your phone book yellow pages ?
  11. According to Click & Clack , Gas doesn't mix with sugar , it can just be cleaned out . But sugar DOES mix with water .
  12. Remove and replace .
  13. javascript:void(0); Here is a photo of the Dorman product installed in my engine . It has been in there for 2 years and no problems .
  14. You can't spin the oil pump with a drill on these motors . You can do that on some other makes , perhaps chev .
  15. I have poped out studs by putting the nut on and giving it a wack with a hammer . I put the new stud in with a hammer wack too . Disclaimer ; I don't remember if these were mopars .
  16. If you can see the valves closing with the side cover off , then you need to pull the head . Probably just the head gasket as you mentioned . Before you replace the head gasket use a straight edge to see if the surfaces are flat .
  17. Here is my guess as to why they have tracer wire ; After you use up all of the primary colors and then you need to mark more wires , how do you mark them ? Tracer wires .
  18. [quote=Young Ed;If you can find it this is the one you want. Dad has 2 of these and I've never seen it fail yet Ed , Thanks for the plug , That is the puller that I have for sale . ebay 330401039496 Starting the bidding at $60 and no bids yet . - Jerry Roberts
  19. The tallest girl seems to have an infant in a headlock .
  20. I ran across one like that with brackets on top that turned out to be from a military dodge truck .
  21. I looked in a Motors Manual dated 1954 for the fluid level in the master cylinder . There is nothing under the mopar section but in the general section under brakes it said to fill up to 3/8 inch of the top . Does anyone have anything different in your mopar shop manual regarding this ?
  22. I have seen a fiber washer on the caps .
  23. If you don't want the fluid to overflow out of the vented cap , only fill it to within 7/16 to 1/2 inch of the top .
  24. I straightened mine several years ago by clamping it in a vise and pulling . Not a big problem .
