to the above, I thought this only happened in the land of shortcuts...Georgia....I know it is everywhere....my dad and I had a joke among ourselves to the effect we went to the hardware store looking for a component....could not locate it, asked the sales specialist for that department, his reply was....is this going to be inspected....had nothing to do with safety, code or pride....we laughed at that line every time we did a repair no matter how involved.

as a follow up, I am not fond of their rubber, seals for doors and deck lids on my experience their offering is too hard a durometer and will not relax enough even if and when setting in the warm sun to prevent bulging of doors and trunk lid. Personally, it is my experience that Clester's is closest to fit and form. As for the different bodies on doors....length of seal is the delimitator for the most part. two door, four door and town sedan all being a bit different in lengths need to ensure fit. We have other supplies of rubber that I also do not recommend due to business practices but that is on me.....

as Tod said, length of the engine will come into play quickly here....firewall cuts along with what could well be radiator support relocation and altering even after the fact of moving it forward. I have done a few of these cars with modern drivetrains.....while very doable, I repeat, none are a bolt in. As you state you have the Jeep on hand, get out your tape measure and start recording some numbers. I would recommend a frame clip but that is totally your call there. The modern suspension will be worth the effort and you will get things like larger disc brakes, massive sway bars, better shocks not to mention power rack and pinion steering along with better geometry and positive caster for the overall better handling. The total package would be very cost effective.

I was thinking similar, with the cooling to 60 for you would be shorts, T-shirt sandals and a dip in the lake. Me thinks John's report was more of a 'brag' 😁 Here in the south 60 this time of year is most comfortable if there are no winds. Last time I went fool and jumped into a lake was in mid January, Augsburg Germany....now I know why polar bears stay mad at the world.

my house was built in 1908.....it was about 1800 sq feet at the time....it was added onto when I got it and was just under 2500 sq feet...might I mention the work was shown many corners cut and I do not mean wall corners....will not mention the sq ft now....but I think I am happy with it now. It was for the most part a fun project....got a bit hectic now and then mainly in getting materials...this area at the time was very repressed.....it is a bit better. Carried all my supplies from Charleston SC when I did my weekend reserves duty. This place had two retails for building and they were in agreement to keep prices at a premium.

you can also train either the wife or a rhesus monkey to flip the switch, my advice...don't piss off either of them if used.
