Ulu Posted January 1 Report Posted January 1 Happy new year Tim! I bought me a really loud electric guitar this year, and if I get drunk tonight I might open the windows and wake up my neighbors. (Think about me pretending to be Jimi Hendrix, playing the Star-Spangled Banner.) Quote
Young Ed Posted January 1 Report Posted January 1 No neighbors were awakened but we did let the boys stay up until midnight with their buddies. We kicked them off video games just before midnight to watch the ball drop Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 1 Author Report Posted January 1 (edited) as per my tradition for good number of years. I have tubular bells and a nice wooden mallet.....I ring in the New Year...they good clear sounding bells with a distinct ding dong ring. My son had a bon fire but as his kids are 3 and 5...the fire was earlier in the evening followed by cooking a few hot dogs and marshmallows over the coals. Edited January 1 by Plymouthy Adams Quote

Plymouthy Adams Posted January 1 Author Report Posted January 1 I'm the stone you can't squeeze blood from.....Scrooge had it right, for all your money, in the end, time in really more important. Bills come and bills go.....some are avoidable, others are not.... Quote

Solly Posted January 2 Report Posted January 2 My neighborhood sounded like a war zone from about 7pm till 1 am, I swear there was some big time explosives going off !! rattled my windows !! While the wife and I enjoy new years we generally stay home (its safer) she makes some simple Hors d'oeuvres and we bring in the new year with a simple toast to each other and consider our selves fortunate enough to have made it another year simple as that. Everybody have a good new year !! Quote
Young Ed Posted January 2 Report Posted January 2 We had another couple over along with their two boys. We had appetizers for dinner/snacks and hung out until just after 12. The little one went to bed around 9 but the other 4 kids made it to 12. I made meatball sliders- yum! Quote
Dave72dt Posted January 3 Report Posted January 3 Our third great grandchild brought the new year in as the first newborn of the year yesterday at 7:00 p.m. First photo indicated he was not happy about it even if Mom and Dad were. Quote
