RobertKB
Parts will be out there. Not sure where and what the cost will be but it’s fixable. Young Ed on this forum got into an accident a few years ago with his P15 and it was a lot worse than yours. It got fixed and car looks great. It hurts to have your car damaged but it is fixable. There are a lot worse things in life that can and unfortunately do happen.

Painful all around, but looks fixable. If you were trying to post an add, it cost $5. Maybe that's why it asked for a CC?
Ivan_B
Very sorry about your loss The personal "wanted" ads should be free: "Individual Wanted ads are free and run for 30 days." Did you select the right posting category? Also, make sure not to click on any of the suspicious advertising pages 😋 Although, I agree that posting in a completely separate section does not seem to be very convenient, because no one ever reads those (I don't). @P15-D24 Do you think we can alter the rules to allow private parts stuff in the general forum? People already often share parts, etc., when they see someone needs something
58prostreet
I wrecked my 52 Wayfarer in 2007. look at my attachments in my profile, It was way worse than yours. Anyway, I posted on here, and the Hamb and found most everything in Kentucky. Went and picked up and they turned out to be too rusty to use, Finally found front clip in Pittsburg and they turned out good. If I remember correctly, I found them on the hamb. Post you situation and pictures. They are good people over there. Good luck Bob
Sniper
Same sources as any other parts really. French Lake auto, Desert Valley, etc. If you feel real lucky you can try www.car-part.com. It's an online junkyard search engine. Well dang, they show two sources for the fender.

Ivan_B
Many years ago, I was rear-ended while riding in the back seat of a 1970 Chevy sedan. There was a trailer hitch installed in the back. The other car was a brand new (at that time) BMW E36 (I think). In result: Chevy - no visible damage. BMW - broken bumper, broken headlight, broken grill, busted radiator, coolant all over the road. We drove off, the other driver required towing. So, crashes can be affected by many factors.
Marty C
I think the stopped car has no energy in it! my car traveling about 20/25 had all the energy hence more damage! Her Volvo was higher than mine, and I was trying to avoid her so my left headlight hit her taillight . There isn’t much behind the headlight so it crumpled like a cheap suit. My bumper never got hit! Marty C
Update: I found a complete parts car about 6 hour drive from me for not a lot of money. Car is in my body shop and was appraised by an outside party hired by Hagerty. Just waiting to see what they are going to give me. I’ll post a few shots of my parts car. Ivan_B
I am not very good in physics, but suspect that when two bodies collide, regardless of whether only one or both of them are moving, they experience similar amount of impact. The collective force is basically split 50/50. If the other car had a plastic bumper, it could've also bounced back hiding plenty of damage underneath. That looks like a good parts car, congrats! RobertKB
I’m pretty sure that parts car was on this forum a little while back. Owner was looking for help but probably changed his mind. If that is the car, I’m glad he saved it for you.
Ivan_B
This parts car looks better than some people's "project" cars 😅

Marty C
Yes , Why?
RobertKB
As I said, I think I MAY have seen it on the forum previously. If it’s in Vermont, I’m at least a couple of thousand miles away from it.

Bob Ritter
Great fine nothing like having a parts car, if you have the room... It don't look like you have any frame damage, from the pictures it looks like the damage went over the front bumper. But be sure to check the front frame horns, the frame specifications are in the parts manual. This is a great form for information, but the classified are a little minimal. I have been finding Facebook to be a good source for parts...
