I like pan fried Halibut,  And a couple of east coast deep fried oysters.  Great combo.

One of the best seafood meals I've ever eaten was Cajun blackened halibut in Anchorage.  Supposedly fresh caught locally.  I was there on business occasionally back in the 90s.  Always enjoyed it as we schedule our meetings after tourist season had peaked.

Halibut is some good tasting fish ... I love fish. I cook fish every Friday, I could it it 2 or 3 times a week.

But the adventure of going out and searching hunting then actually catching is the fun.

The wife & I use to spend hours out bass fishing, during the week I would car pool with a co-worker, he would pick me up and we go to work and when we got back to my house, jump in my van and the boat was always connected, lived a 1/4 mile from a boat launch to the Columbia river.

Crazy days indeed ... sometimes we just made it back off the river to make it to work the next morning.

Today, all my fish comes from walmart ... sigh!

Around here, a piece of halibut, frozen, 1 steak is a$22 USD per. Last time I looked at it and put it back down.

So I figure there is a few thousand dollars worth there in your boat! Good job. Great eating. Battered and deep fried makes awesome fish & chips!
