I went to the Iola Old Car Show today, as a spectator. Couldn't swing a full weekend to enter the Ol' Dodge and hang out there. There weren't many Dodge trucks, but here are a few I saw...

When I first saw this one I thought it was Todd B's "Pistol Pete" based on the color. But isn't he a '49 Todd? It seems to have a Ford drive train. "429" badge on the hood and a Ford steering column and wheel.

Interesting scheme on this one...

A nice Town Wagon

A couple nice older models...

(Yes, it's not a Dodge... it's a Plymouth)

And a decent '57

Those are some great looking Dodges. I cant remember the last time I saw a Town Wagon. It looks like it was a great day to be out enjoying a car show. thanks for sharing !

I had every intention on going today with the semi but I had to finish up some jobs to meet deadlines (sucks being the boss sometimes). Would have been a great day for it. I was also hoping for tomorrow but my wife informed me we have a grand kids birthday party.

"D.C. Pete" is a 49 Merle but is also two tone, copper and dark brown.

Was that an oldsmobile truck or a REO? Same guy different companies

Thanks for the great photos Merle. That copper tone sure is different.

I was at a car show myself today. Seems that the judges really liked my 52, and also a GMC pickup there as well.

There's something for everyone there. Almost anything up to 1990 can come. They claim around 2200 show cars, 1000 car corral vehicles (I didn't even go over there), and approx. 4200 swap spaces, all on 300 acres. You'll do a lot of walking.

I don't know about that yellow color scheme but, those BUMPERS...... WOW!

was that hood ornament on the yellow one an option? I have seen it before on the "B- series"

Great pics Wally! I spent a day or two up in New Hampshire at Field and Forest Recreation area wheeling back in 2010. Awesome area!

indeed.  not only that, i seem to remember you posting a pic of yours (or your dad's).

a 5.

Yup he's had many of them over the years. Last one was a 84? CJ7. It was a fun Jeep but had a lot of issues from the previous owner. He's still watching for another. Preferably late 70s CJ7 as he bought a couple of them brand new.
