billrigsby Posted January 17, 2021 Report Posted January 17, 2021 Looks very similar to one on EBay; 1941 Plymouth Commercial Car Pickup Models: PT-125 Styles: Pickup EBay Quote
Young Ed Posted January 17, 2021 Report Posted January 17, 2021 Those look right but the only way to know for sure is to see the bottom. Some of the car ones look quite similar but don't attach the same Quote
billrigsby Posted January 17, 2021 Report Posted January 17, 2021 This is a second one on EBay with a good shot of the bottom the other one looks similar but they don't have as good a shot of the bottom. EBay Those bad boys are a bit pricey. Quote
Young Ed Posted January 17, 2021 Report Posted January 17, 2021 That is the proper truck underside. The hook at the rear with a horizontal screw that pushes back against the hook when installed. The car ones that are similar just have 2 vertical screws 1 Quote
Eneto-55 Posted January 18, 2021 Report Posted January 18, 2021 Thanks for the comments & information. As I understand this was a single year design, correct? Quote

Correct 41 only. 39-40 similar ship but it doesn't come to a point because it connects with the trim for the grill Quote
knuckleharley Posted February 10, 2021 Report Posted February 10, 2021 UPDATE on glove box. I thought some of you might be interested in this due to the courtesy and the quick reply to my question from Collectors Auto Supply,Inc. They look like the kind of people I want to do business with,if possible. " Hi Arthur, From what I have been able to find this glove box should be able to fit your Dodge, but I have reached out to the manufacturer to confirm. Once I hear back from the manufacturer with the schematics I will send them to you, so that you are able to double-check the fitment on your truck prior to ordering. Let us know if you have any other questions, and we will be happy to help you! Thanks, Michael - collectorsautosupplyinc" Quote

billrigsby Posted February 15, 2021 Report Posted February 15, 2021 Went through some of my photos to see what NOS Parts I had accumulated for this project over the years. billrigsby Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Almost forgot..... Complete Seat Bottom Cushion Will probably NEVER find a matching Seat Back Cushion (this is NOT to be considered a parts request) ? Also picked this up on EBay last week, not sure if it is NOS, but a nice collectable, does not seem to have been used, but not stored correctly either; 2 Quote

(I am not in need of one myself - my cousin.) Damn shame he didn't paint that truck red. It would have really stood out. Quote

That is, is the visible portion of the piece the same as on the cars? I do realize that there are some variations from one casting to another, even on the same model run. Some are very minute, others very noticeable. (Some time back I posted photos of the hood ornaments that came off of my 46 and 49 1st series, and they are quite different in design detail.) Quote

Pretty easy to take a damamged piece and "repair" it worse in the wrong hands. Quote
