Yah guessing 600 or so pounds from the raw metal weight at pickup.

Other side done today.

Bed "on" the truck.  Not at final height yet.  Amazing what you can do by yourself with no ready hands to help.

You getting awfully wide in the rear buddy .... not so sure if a diet is in order   :)

Camera angle may be part of it.  Last pic shows the bed rails just past the width of the duals.  That lets you keep the bed height a bit lower and still have room for axle movement than if the rails were even with the duals.

Yah the bed is just past the duals, but under the 8'6" max width.   He's a wide one for sure, but with the running boards and all it will make more sense visually.

I have a bed...

Things left:

1.  Fuel fill bracket

2.  Tie down backers

3.  Drill holes for bed strips

4.  Drill holes for marker lights

5.  Make bed tail plate for turn, brake, back up, plates, back up camera and trailer power

You may want to add a storage box for your ratchet straps and incorporate your fuel fill somehow with it.  Most of the pickup to flat bed conversions around here ( rusted out boxes ) make the fuel fill area look like an afterthought.  Ill assume a headache rack is also in the plans.

Those will go in the faux fuel saddle tanks.  Short headache planned.

Spent the day yesterday SLOWLY drilling the bed strip holes...60 in total thru structural U channel....all while under the influence of my shimgles booster shot....but I got it done.  Here is my "favorite" version of the back plate (for all intents and purposes legally read that as "bumper").  orange dot is camera, yellow is trailer connections.  I just don't know if the marker lights are "out" far enough or not.  I might need to trim my stake pocket bits a bit to push them out further.

If you can add marker lights along the sides, including one near the rear corner, then you should be OK where it is. Otherwise if you can move it to the angled corner that would be ideal.

Looking good...

How close to the corner does the light HAVE to be? The corners have holes and I COULD drop a light in there but woudln't be as vivible as the marker lights with lenses.  Itherwise liek I siad, I trim the tails on teh stake pocket side and stick 'em out as close to the edge as I can.  Pretty sure NOTHING is "on the corner" on semis, etc...

mudflaps....I DO have some SS cut out for "Job - Rated" badging, but I wonder about longevity of that/replacement if damamaged.  Maybe just a straight up MoPaR logo.
