Nice pics as always. Of all the old Mopars we have had, Dad's '48 New Yorker coupe was probably the smoothest ride. it had the straight eight and was black in color. I like the white.

Hey Rockwood, how about if I bring out my bright red Dodge from Ontario for a photo op? Just kidding, we will be having it here soon enough.

You would never dare to do that in NY. I swear they start spreading the salt in October around here. We haven't had any snow or ice yet and there is salt all over the place.

Frankie47,

Thank you, you are kind. I didn't mean to hijack this thread. I liked driving my first 1948 Chrysler Royal in the snow up in NJ back in the 1970's, and I thought that 1947 white Windsor looked terrific. I had a pic of my 48 with the red bow and when it was mentioned, I figured out the new way to load pictures on the forum (it only took me an hour) I attached my green machine to the mix.

Merry Christmas, and keep those Christmas Bow Pictures coming!

Occasionally I see a Big Mercedes going down the road with the Big Red Bow on them, and thought what the heck I'll put one on my Royal.:D

I think that car is absolutely the best looking representation of 40's automobiles. It is everything a person could want in a classic car. Its not so big and gaudy as a giant limosine but rather what a working family of the era would aspire to own. I love it and its not mine.

Who's the guy on the ladder?

Niel,

That's my neighbor, painting his own house. He is in his late sixties and can afford a painter but would rather do it himself. I was driving through the neighborhood and stopped to take that picture. I asked him if he would mind me parking in front of his place to do so, and he said help yourself. Great guy to talk to.

This back drop could pass for the South, along the Historic Red River of the North, Eveline Street in Selkirk Manitoba.

The weather is much nicer in Winnipeg than Saskatoon.:):)

Ya okay Neil:rolleyes:, we are further south;), but it is the same old prairie Canada cold:confused:, summer is super hot at times, and it is humid here from the Lakes, think your weather is much drier in summer than ours...

It missed us completely. It is +1C and sunny this morning. Looks like Ottawa got it though. My snow blower is ready to run but nothing so far this winter.
